Tolstoy Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 The Forbes list is out, and Dareus is #26 at 35.2 Million. Either he is really good, or the Bills are really foolish. Regardless, he is ahead of a lot of very talented and wealthy athletes. http://www.forbes.com/athletes/list/#tab:overall BTW, Ronaldo and Messi are #1 and #2. Soccer is big.
4merper4mer Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 MD is the #1 paid athlete who is being asked to play out of position. He is good, but he isn't Magic Johnson.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 In two years from now Dareus won't be on the top 200 probably. This was a heavy year due to signing bonus, etc...
John from Riverside Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 MD is the #1 paid athlete who is being asked to play out of position. He is good, but he isn't Magic Johnson. Is there a thread on this board where you DONT take a dig at the coaches?
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Of course he is... An 330 Pound all-pro DT with coverage skills???

Not in countries with real pro football. Anyway, in soccer, despite no real other international sporting competition, there are only 6 players in the top 50. Yet there are 9 basketball/football (capped leagues, no less) in the top 20. So basically, a tiny number of players in soccer get all the money.
