ExiledInIllinois Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 http://acws-chicago.americascup.com/ Didn't even know! @ work and hearing all the chatter on VHF 16... Is this the first in freshwater for the that race? USCG just set up a security zone around Navy Pier... Pretty cool, I may have to visit the Chicago Harbor Lock to check out the boats.

Chef Jim Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 America's Cup was in SF three years ago (holy crap was it that long ago??) and it was quite the spectacle. I'm not crazy about the boats they use now but it was great people watching.
BuffaloBud Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 The LV Cup is the tuneup for the AC. The AC will be held in Bermuda. If you are into water, boats, tech - be sure to check this out. ** Was in Australia (Perth) in 1987 when Dennis Conner won the AC back from the Aussies. Had a hell of a great time!! **

Or am I wrong, is it the same?
