BF_in_Indiana Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Even with that explanation I still can not understand the connection between people being lemmings, and the phrase "Just slit our wrists like cheap coupons and say that death was on sale today." Is it part of a song? Are there other lyrics around these words that help explain what these words say because, honestly, man...I can not see the connection between that song and your even your interpretation. Could you break it down for me? Are the cheap coupons the people who always follow? Or is the wrist? Death on sale? Something in there must represent people who always follow and never lead. Seriously...I'm not just bustin' balls here. I'm serious. How do you break this down to your interpretation? 247586 Yes there are other lyrics around it. It is from a song about being anti majority. Let me get the lyrics for the entire song, I'll post them in a minute.
stevestojan Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 My boss's birthday today. I have a huge piece of cheesecake from the cheescake facotry here, a nice starbucks coffee, and now this soon-to-be legendary thread... life is good.
BF_in_Indiana Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 You know what LA, I knew it didn't sound right, I screwed the lyrics up. "They'll just cut our wrists like cheap coupons and say that death was on sale today." Does that sound a little more along the lines of what I was talking about?

BF_in_Indiana Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 I can't wait to see the rest of these lyrics. 247603 I'm not going to post them. I found out that I kind of messed up the original lyrics and I reposted the correct ones, I messed up like two words but it changed the meaning completely. I see why LA was confused.

Tux of Borg Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 The people you want to speak your peace to won't be there. They never are. The people that show up for the tailgate are generally a very good crowd. 247572 I plan on stopping by the tailgate this year. You forgot about the "I want to get into #89's pants" group. 247570 Gotta love #89.... I always look for her at the mall.

Fear and Loathing is only a work of art to someone who is tripped out on LSD. Hell, Timothy Leary is god by comparison.
