Isn't a bit ironic that a significant number of Americans are against the UK's desire to be independent of the EU, especially given that the holiday that celebrates our own independence is less than a week away?

I don't pretend to know what will be better for the UK in the long run - whether in the EU or not, but it is surely a sign that if you ignore the main populace for too long in pursuit of your singular vision they will react accordingly and do drastic things.

The same thing is happening here in the US. The Democrat Party would have been wise to attempt to swap out Hilary for another candidate, because I think she is just unpopular enough with people on both sides to actually lose to Trump.

This is interesting. For the big boogie man Russian or maybe to keep their own members in line? Or just creating another market for the weapons and war industry?

EU politicians

"hey great idea it will cost 80 billion Euros to start"

The people of the EU

" OK will Germany pony up 78 billion and America the other 2? no? OK never mind"

When I read crap like that, I genuinely wonder what took everyone so long to jump ship.

Only nutbag far left progressives would be stupid enough to even to think regulation is needed to address the curvature of phucking banana.

Haha.. I feel dumber after having read that Wikipedia page.

The main provisions of the regulation were that bananas sold as unripened, green bananas should be green and unripened

No ****, really? Tautological law is tautological.

John Kerry: Brexit could be ´walked back´

Guardian [uK],

Original Article

We know in the U.S. that you don't really need to listen to the serfs.

.

Wow. I can't believe that the president would threaten one of our most important and oldest allies with being treated like a red-headed stepchild. This clown can't be gone fast enough.

Tthis is the same John Kerry who this week said the Turkey airport bombing shows that ISIS is afraid and desperate.

Kerry is a charter member of the Asshat HOF, but he's right. There are a lot of fine points to hammer out on this 'exit', there is no template to follow, and despite the posturing of the idiots in Brussels, no decisions are "irreversible". So I could see it ending up as a very gradual move to a hybrid/partial exit.

He was in Vietnam you know.
