Dezmin Lewis: "I'm eager to get better" (12:03)
Bills second year receiver Dezmin Lewis joined The John Murphy Show to discuss his offseason training regimen, how he's been showcasing his improvements during the OTAs, and how he plans to fit in with the receiving group in 2016.

Lewis: Last year was a good start for me, I've got a good understanding of how things go now.

Lewis: You never wanna come back out of shape, so I feel like I started training too early because I was so eager to get better

Lewis: The strength of the DB's shocked me, they'll punch you, be in your face, anything they can do to win. It was a big shocker

Lewis: You don't make the team until camp, so I have to stay focused and show that I am ready

From Joe B at OTAs today:

6) A young WR gets a chance to run with the 1s

- Last week, the two wide receivers that ran along with Robert Woods and the first-team offense was Jarrett Boykin and Greg Little. On Wednesday, Boykin was once again with the first unit, but a new face joined the fray: second-year wide receiver Dez Lewis. The 6-foot-4, 214-pound wide receiver went through some growing pains during last season, but finally adjusted himself to professional football. Lewis struggled with drops during training camp last year, but there wasn't any sign of that during Wednesday's OTA session. It's just one practice, but in a completely wide open competition for playing time, Lewis flourished in his time with the first-team offense.

Lewis actually gives credit to the training staff. Interesting to hear that after Miller basically said they did little/nothing for him.

I would like to hope he could catch on. Always wanted us to keep Kamar Aiken and a few others we passed up on the glory days. Wasn't Donald Jones one we kept in favor of Aiken?
