PromoTheRobot Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 You should really remove that link. It's uninformative for the most part, and wrong at others. No, Seantrel Henderson did NOT report today (Tuesday). He's scheduled to report on Thursday, a day after having a final check up at Mayo Clinic. jw Jason Cole = Patriot suck up extraordinare. His appearance on Jim Rome a few months back was embarrassing.
Kemp Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 The large intestine is the part of your body that absorbs water to help you hydrate? Or is my middle school bio failing me here?? Can't be sure, but I would bet it's the small intestine.

Many years ago, I was leading a number of soldiers into a war. A well-regarded journalist from a famous publication visited us and asked a bunch of leading questions about the foolishness of the president's actions, trying to stir the pot. When that failed, he simply read a couple of incendiary quotes he composed BEFORE visiting my soldiers and asked if anyone would be willing to have one of the quotes attributed to him. One of my young privates agreed and became famous for a sentence he never actually uttered. I've taken what I read in the media with a grain of salt ever since. Media guys don't always know/tell the whole story nor do they consistently tell accurate stories. Thanks, btw, for your Henderson story which seems to capture what's actually going on better than most others.

And it's not help when bosses apply pressure or impart rules or story angles that are almost impossible to meet. That said, not excusing said reporter you mentioned. That's plain irresponsible. My word of advice has always been read as much as you can, and when you think you're done, read some more before making up your mind on stuff. jw
hondo in seattle Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 From jw's article: "Herman said Henderson has gained about half of the 30 pounds he lost since being listed at 331 pounds last season." My math says Henderson is now 316 lbs. How worried should we be about Henderson's weight and conditioning? Thanks for your service, hondo! There are a lot of vets on OBD. Thanks to all of them! I gotta say - in the belated spirit of Memorial Day - I was moved by the selflessness of my fellow soldiers when I served. Not all of 'em were angels, of course, but nearly all were willing to put their lives on the line for their buddies. I remember when football players competed more for the love of the game than the money. Loyalty to team and teammates was more prevalent back then. I miss those days.
26CornerBlitz Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 @AdamBenigni #Bills Rex Ryan on Seantrel Henderson: "It's a medical issue... That's why I don't comment." It will be great to see him. @wgrz @buffalobills "It'll be great to see Seantrel Henderson again...These are voluntary workouts. If he's in tomorrow it'll be good."
jletha Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Can't be sure, but I would bet it's the small intestine. Pretty sure the large intestine/colon is most important. Know someone that has/had bad UC and would get super dehydrated when in a flair despite drinking endless water.

He can add another 15# or so easily before training camp. And since there's still another 2 months before camp starts to get the conditioning close.

How do you bounce back from this 100% in one season? I hate to be negative, and bash a guy when he's down, but... He was merely adequate when he was healthy. If he's back to, say, 87%, well... (...do some quick math, here...) I think 87% of merely adequate = inadequate.

And how he plays when he comes back depends on how much it affected him the past 2 seasons. Personally I still say he's a LT, not a RT.

Simple lbs lost only tells so much of the story.
Doc Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Really we don't know what kind of shape he's in. Simple lbs lost only tells so much of the story. Yeah, the strength and conditioning will be more key.
