A nice story. I don't know if I would want to retire his number as he only played for us for one year, and retiring a number like Bruce should be for what they accomplished as a Bill.

Going on the Wall, or retiring a number should be for heir football play. In WW2 the NFL lost 22 players KIA. More in Korea, and of course Pat Tillman for Afghanistan. I think it would be great if we placed the SI story, frame his jersey, and have it placed somewhere in the stadium, so people will not forget his great sacrifice. It would also be good for his family knowing he is honored at the Ralph, and taken to any future stadium whenever that occurs.

It's interesting as this was the source of a debate on NFLR regarding Chris Collinsworth wanting Pat Tillman going in the HOF. On the HOF radio show, one of the main guys for Canton basically stated what I stated above. He did say Pat Tillman is in the HOF in the section honoring our veterans. That made a lot of sense to me.

OJ - for all his weaknesses as a human being - deserves to be in the HOF. Kalsu - for all his strengths as a human being - does not. The Hall of Fame is all about talent and production in the NFL, it's not about character. Though I think it's great the HOF has a section honoring veterans.

I'd love to see a statue of Kalsu in front of the stadium. He's a Bill worth remembering.
