Mark Vader Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Sharks in 6. But I'm biased.....GO SHARKS!!! Predictions?
BillsPride12 Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Rooting for the Sharks because well Pittsburgh has already won enough championships...but it would be bittersweet to see yet again another team that came into the league well after the Sabres(and based in California at that) win a cup before we get our first.
CommonCents Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Sharks in 6. But I'm biased.....GO SHARKS!!! Predictions? Sharks D is unreal, my guess would be its over in 5.
gomper Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Sharks in 6 tight ones. In as much as everyone makes the PIT speed to be a huge advantage in tilting the ice, SJ can transition with them. Better yet, they have a unique balance of speed blended with solid gap control. SJ has better depth and a better G. Should be fun.
snafu Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Pittsburgh plays a similar style as the Sharks, but not as well. Sharks power play is top notch. Should be a good series. Sharks in 6 I say.
Chilly Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) Pens in 7. I think Pittsburgh is the deeper team. Edited May 30, 2016 by Chilly
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I am a Pens fan, so I'm biased (only started following hockey when I moved to Pitt). I am not sure how you pick against the Pens, after what they did to the Caps and Lightning. I think it will be the Pens in 6.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) Rooting for the Pens as they are only a few hrs away and have some friends that are Pen fans. Have no Idea who will win as I don't pay too much attention to hockey outside of the Sabres. GO SABRES!!! Edited May 30, 2016 by Buffalo Barbarian
Alaska Darin Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I am a Pens fan, so I'm biased (only started following hockey when I moved to Pitt). I am not sure how you pick against the Pens, after what they did to the Caps and Lightning. I think it will be the Pens in 6. It's easy to pick against the Penguins when you compare the West to the East. The West has the more traditional, rugged playoff teams that tend to win Cups. That's why they've won five of the last six. It's a pick 'em series. Neither team has great goaltending, which makes it tough to pick.
plenzmd1 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I don't know how these schedules are made, but damn, no way to change this game from today? Maybe start it at 6 so ya don't get crushed with possibly the lowest rated Cup final game opener? NHL brass just always seems like such idiots.
/dev/null Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Rooting for the Sharks because well Pittsburgh has already won enough championships. Feel the Bern Go Pens!
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Pretty entertaining game 1. I think all the games are going to be like this-- tight 1-goal difference.
CowgirlsFan Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 GO SHARKS...yes.... even from a fan of the Stars!
Mark Vader Posted June 2, 2016 Author Posted June 2, 2016 A tough loss in a very good Game 1. Let's turn it around and tie up the series heading home! GO SHARKS!!!
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Stick a fork in the Sharks. Looks like another Pens cup. Seriously, can we just burn Pittsburgh to the ground already?
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Both teams obviously had some tough breaks with shots off the cross bars. But the Sharks sluggish style of play is not really working. I thought the pens dominated that entire game. Sharks also seem to turn the puck over way too much.
/dev/null Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Seriously, can we just burn Pittsburgh to the ground already? but if we did that, the bills would have to find a new source of bastards, cripples, and broken things
Buffalo Barbarian Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Stick a fork in the Sharks. Looks like another Pens cup. Seriously, can we just burn Pittsburgh to the ground already? just one game. What's wrong with Pittsburgh, at least they're winners and have a bunch of places that have been on Food Network?
Jauronimo Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 just one game. What's wrong with Pittsburgh, at least they're winners and have a bunch of places that have been on Food Network? For sure. The food network has featured Primanti Brothers in the strip district, Primanti at Heinz Field, Primanti Market Square, Primanti Bros South, and at least 5 other Primanti Bros locations. Afterall, variety is the spice of life.
