boyst
http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2016/05/26/3781780/ohio-voting-cash-bond/ Republican lawmakers in Ohio approved a bill late Wednesday night that would force residents toput up a cash bond when they petition a court extend voting hours during an election day emergency, such as a natural disaster. If Gov. John Kasich ® signs the bill, Ohio could become the first state in the nation to make voters risk losing tens of thousands of dollars of their own money when making the case for keeping the polls open a few extra hours. this is a brilliant move and well thought. it is ridiculous that polls will stay open later because people cannot plan their adult life or make arrangements to something so important. i am guessing it will not be long until the DOJ begins withholding educational funding to Ohio. Not so cleverly written piece. that would force residents to put up a cash bond when they petition a court extend voting hours during an election day emergency, such as a natural disaster. It wouldn't be individuals putting up their money, but political parties and advocacy groups. And they have early voting and absentee voting also, not mentioned in the whining article, this was though....... Ohio is also being sued for purging nearly 2 million voters from its rolls over the last five years. Oh Good Heavens..........."the purge" Edited May 26, 2016 by B-Man
