YoloinOhio Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 @brucefeldmancfb BREAKING: #Baylor is firing head coach Art Briles, source tells @FoxSports. 1st reported by Craig Smoak. Huge!
Kirby Jackson Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) Who will be NFL team to hire him? Patriots  I think that Briles is a phenomenal football coach (one of the best in the world). He seems like a "good ole' boy" too but clearly he wasn't running a very clean program. Edited May 26, 2016 by Kirby Jackson
Beerball Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 @brucefeldmancfb BREAKING: #Baylor is firing head coach Art Briles, source tells @FoxSports. 1st reported by Craig Smoak. Huge! well, you know where there's smoak there's usually fire.
YoloinOhio Posted May 26, 2016 Author Posted May 26, 2016 Jets so he can fire up the Petty machine Or Browns so he can coach his boy(s) rg3, Gordon, Coleman
Kirby Jackson Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Jets so he can fire up the Petty machine Or Browns so he can coach his boy(s) rg3, Gordon, Coleman In all honesty, it has to be somewhere with a strong HC. He will immediately move to the top of the list of most desired HC candidates. He could never go somewhere with a HC that is on the hot seat. The flipside is that some team can hire him that isn't sure about their HC and make him HC in waiting (I'm talking to you Indy).

He has hype at the NFL level?
Guest K-GunJimKelly12 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Depending on what comes out over the next few weeks, Briles may be toxic for awhile.
YoloinOhio Posted May 26, 2016 Author Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) He has hype at the NFL level?definitely - it's an offensive driven league and he's considered an offensive genius who has had success with QBs currently in the league Edited May 26, 2016 by YoloinOhio
Kirby Jackson Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) definitely - it's an offensive driven league and he's considered an offensive genius who has had success with QBs currently in the league Yeah, pretty much this. He was hard to pull from Baylor as he was a Texas HS legend. Then he started collecting all of that shady booster money. Briles is the passing game equivalent of what Chip Kelly was. Now in hindsight that sounds crazy but you need to separate Chip the HC from Chip the GM. If I were the Colts, I would be all over this. I'm curious to see what Bandit thinks? I know that he too is a big fan of Briles (the football coach). Edited May 26, 2016 by Kirby Jackson
26CornerBlitz Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Might be a good choice after the scandal. @MaioccoCSN After hearing news at Baylor and its need for man with strong character to take over program, I wonder if Mike Singletary will be candidate.
YoloinOhio Posted May 26, 2016 Author Posted May 26, 2016 @nfl_cfb UPDATE: Baylor announces coach Art Briles has been "suspended indefinitely with intent to terminate" Ok
GunnerBill Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Now in hindsight that sounds crazy but you need to separate Chip the HC from Chip the GM. I did and decided at the NFL level neither was very good.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 @ralphDrussoAP Key findings in PH report on Baylor.
Mark Vader Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 @nfl_cfb UPDATE: Baylor announces coach Art Briles has been "suspended indefinitely with intent to terminate" Ok How long does it take to terminate someone?
May Day 10 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 As is, i dont think briles would be a good nfl coach. His game seems too dependent on wide speed disparity between his team and the opponent. You cant really get that kind of advantage in the nfl.
