YoloinOhio Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Report: Marshawn Lynch told ex-teammates he might return for 2016 http://www.si.com/nfl/2016/05/26/seattle-seahawks-marshawn-lynch-retirement-return-rumors?xid=si_social
YoloinOhio Posted May 26, 2016 Author Posted May 26, 2016 IMO I would think the Seahawks just want to move on at this point. The back and forth has to be annoying.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 IMO I would think the Seahawks just want to move on at this point. The back and forth has to be annoying. No kidding. Dont be a Ricky Williams Marshawn. Stay retired CBF
YoloinOhio Posted May 26, 2016 Author Posted May 26, 2016 No kidding. Dont be a Ricky Williams Marshawn. Stay retired CBF plus they owe him 9 mill if they activate him.
Saxum Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Usually players do this when they are told they need to pay back bonus money so they "unretire" when team has signed replacement or does not have cap space for player. Fans will still defend them against the "greedy" owners. See: Orton, Kyle.
Doc Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Usually players do this when they are told they need to pay back bonus money so they "unretire" when team has signed replacement or does not have cap space for player. Fans will still defend them against the "greedy" owners. See: Orton, Kyle. True. Often times the team will let it slide, but Lynch has $5M in signing bonus left.
What a Tuel Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) Was it Lynch that hasn't spent a dollar of his contract and has saved it all? Or am I thinking of another player? Edited May 26, 2016 by What a Tuel
LOVEMESOMEBILLS Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Was it Lynch that hasn't spent a dollar of his contract and has saved it all? Or am I thinking of another player? Ding Ding DIng! You are correct Sir. http://www.businessinsider.com/marshawn-lynch-saves-nfl-salary-lives-off-endorsements-2016-2 "Marshawn Lynch has a lot of money," Rapoport said. "He hasn't spent a dime of his actual playing money ... ever."

hondo in seattle Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I saw him minutes after his retirement was announced by the Seahawks. He stormed out of the event we we were at. No one in his entourage was smiling. I couldn't help but wonder if there was a causal relationship between the announcement and his apparent mood. It might have been coincidence.
Augie Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 No kidding. Dont be a Ricky Williams Marshawn. Stay retired CBF Oh, I thought you were going to say don't pose for photos in a wedding dress.
NoSaint Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 honestly, its a really tough spot for a team here. there should probably be some better option (require retirement papers within a given window and cant unretire in the same year, for instance)
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Same with Gronk Gronks whole family is loaded too to be fair. Probably easier to not spend much when your family will never ask for a dime.
