iinii Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Hard to argue that a team that year after year does what the Pats do, doesn't have top 10 talent IMO.Thank you!
Big C Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Speaking of "blue chips" I wonder when PFF will come out with its color coded rosters for each team. Maybe they already have. The "elite" players by their standards are in blue and we always only had Kyle Williams. Our QB was always the dreaded "below average" yellow or "poor" in red. Curious to see this year's. Thought about this too. Last year Dareus also got blue. This year we will see. I am betting Richie gets blue this year, probably Dareus too.
Mr. WEO Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 if you peel away Brady and Gronk, there are some good players but not sure if there are any other "blue chips." But as another poster said, the QB position should be weighted much heavier when predicting a team's success. Looking at the overall talent of a roster is slightly different IMO. Yet Steelers are #2 and 2 of their "blue chips" are.....O-lineman??
YoloinOhio Posted May 25, 2016 Author Posted May 25, 2016 (edited) @buckybrooks All "stars" aren't created equal. "Blue chip" players are transcendent stars capable of being impact players on any team It typically takes 8-10 "blue chip" players and a host of "red chips" (high-level/quality starters) to win a title. There are plenty of "reds" that shine on their respective teams, but it doesn't mean they are universally viewed as "game changers" Edited May 25, 2016 by YoloinOhio
YoloinOhio Posted May 25, 2016 Author Posted May 25, 2016 @buckybrooks #Packers "Blue Chips" Rodgers, Matthews, Nelson, Sitton, Shields #Patriots "Blue Chips" TB12, Gronk, McCourty, Solder, Collins, Gostkowski
