The Poojer Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 the most important part of this story is finding out which bathroom it was....we need to know is this girl was in the proper bathroom that she identifies her gender as....we don't want freaks getting into the wrong bathroom
DC Tom Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Too bad for all the boys that they're eligible to be charged as an adult with statutory rape on their 18th birthday, no matter how old they are now. [/Florida]
Doc Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Too bad for all the boys that they're eligible to be charged as an adult with statutory rape on their 18th birthday, no matter how old they are now. [/Florida] Say what?
unbillievable Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 This is being spun as both male rape oppression, and female sexual empowerment.
KD in CA Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 It sounds like 15 may have had 20. Pretty sad, that's one messed up kid and now messed up even more.
DC Tom Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Say what? Happened to someone I knew. Had sex with a 15 year old when he was 17, parents objected, cops waited until his 18th birthday and arrested and charged him as an adult for statutory rape.

Had sex with a 15 year old when he was 17, parents objected, cops waited until his 18th birthday and arrested and charged him as an adult for statutory rape. I'd like to see the law that says it's okay to retroactively charge someone with statutory rape.
DC Tom Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 I'd like to see the law that says it's okay to retroactively charge someone with statutory rape. I want to meet the dumbass public defender who didn't challenge it on those grounds, but instead advised a guilty plea in exchange for a six-month sentence and life on the sex offenders list. It was really !@#$ed up.

Saxum Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Happened to someone I knew. I'd like to see the law that says it's okay to retroactively charge someone with statutory rape. Teenagers can be charged as adults for crimes but not always done but once the charge is made when teenager already is an adult it is a lot easier to get charge made that way. It is part of the silly rules of legal system that laywers exploit. Personally with 2 years +/- 11 months difference in age if it was concentual then there should not have been charges but laymakers make stupid laws very often.
unbillievable Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 I'd like to see the law that says it's okay to retroactively charge someone with statutory rape. It's called a statute of limitations. Prosecutors can wait to charge someone until they have enough evidence.
Doc Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 It's called a statute of limitations. Prosecutors can wait to charge someone until they have enough evidence. Then the girl must have claimed she was raped.
Saxum Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Then the girl must have claimed she was raped. Not with minors. It is called statutory rape.
Doc Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Not with minors. It is called statutory rape. If two minors have sex, it's still statutory rape?
unbillievable Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 If two minors have sex, it's still statutory rape? yes. In some cases, both teenagers are charged with statutory rape.
Saxum Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 yes. In some cases, both teenagers are charged with statutory rape. It is the way the laymakers punish them for what they get in trouble with press when they do it.
