Social media has changed *everything* about how fans and the media cover the NFL. It's not surprising that some teams are trying to figure out how to control the message. I'm not defending the Bills at all, just saying I'm not surprised.

Exactly.

If Mike Rodak is tweeting every single play and whats going on at practice, maybe that stops some fans from going. Maybe they don't see the point, if they can easily get an update from twitter.

Sure they should, they are selling a product.

They can't control it and attempts like this will prove futile. IMO they should just accept it as part of the business.

@mikerodak

A Bills quarterback with a jersey number that is the square root of 25 threw a football that missed its intended target.

@JoeBuscaglia

Jarrett Boykin is having a #nice day today. Just caught a pass over Nickell Robey, who tried to jump the route over the middle of the field.

I do think that Boykin has a chance at the No. 3 gig. He has a rapport with Tyrod and is the only guy on the roster behind Sammy and Woods that produced a solid season in the NFL

@StillTalkinTV

The Bills seem to be asking for national ridicule with these media guidelines. And they get plenty of it already. Notably, no name on it.

Would be great to see one of these WR candidates emerge to provide another dependable option.

Wow, the media got but hurt on this extraordinarly fast.

Look, I get it from the team's perspective. We've just hit OTA's and everything since has been screaming about how they've overpaid Glenn, how how they are doomed because Sammy might miss some preseason, and they aren't respecting Taylor, and Whaley and the entire medical staff should be fired because Shaq will miss 5 games with a veteran backup in position.

So the new rules are the "this is why we can't nice things" response and the live tweeters are throwing a hissy fit.

@AdamSchein

The Bills new media policy is pathetic, backwards, and hurts the amazing & passionate Bills fans who crave information. Sad.

Elite CBs give up no catches during the course of a season. #NotOne

love this stuff. Making an argument Darby BS dude in kc I can't remember right this second... his stats had more tackles and passes defended etc late in season. I had laughed. There are no dssy stats to judge a corner. Look at deion sanders stats or revis' in his prime. No one threw St them and when they did. Boom into

Sherman, for example, passed on all day

I agree. I think more teams will be moving towards stricter policies due to social media. There's reporting and then there is stream of consciousness reporting, which is what social media has engendered. But is is stupid and arrogant of the organization to think this helps the situation.

GO BILLS!!!

A very odd stance for an organization that just had a major PR failure. Reminds me of a commercial of the kid standing in front of grizzlies and dozens of fish strapped on him.

Game on Berchtold. My guess is that Bills don't come out looking good in this one when "all" is said & done.
