Wayne Cubed Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Social media has changed *everything* about how fans and the media cover the NFL. It's not surprising that some teams are trying to figure out how to control the message. I'm not defending the Bills at all, just saying I'm not surprised. Exactly. If Mike Rodak is tweeting every single play and whats going on at practice, maybe that stops some fans from going. Maybe they don't see the point, if they can easily get an update from twitter.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 Sure they should, they are selling a product. They can't control it and attempts like this will prove futile. IMO they should just accept it as part of the business. @mikerodak A Bills quarterback with a jersey number that is the square root of 25 threw a football that missed its intended target. @JoeBuscaglia Jarrett Boykin is having a #nice day today. Just caught a pass over Nickell Robey, who tried to jump the route over the middle of the field.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 @thadbrown7 EJ Manuel finished 7 on 7 with some good throws. I know you're expecting a punch line but no... really.

He has a rapport with Tyrod and is the only guy on the roster behind Sammy and Woods that produced a solid season in the NFL
26CornerBlitz Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 @StillTalkinTV The Bills seem to be asking for national ridicule with these media guidelines. And they get plenty of it already. Notably, no name on it. I do think that Boykin has a chance at the No. 3 gig. He has a rapport with Tyrod and is the only guy on the roster behind Sammy and Woods that produced a solid season in the NFL Would be great to see one of these WR candidates emerge to provide another dependable option.
CommonCents Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 I'm enjoying the "subterfuge" tweets Rodak is the leader in the clubhouse with creativity, this policy may win him some fans.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 (edited) @JoeBuscaglia Just having a little fun today. We cover sports. It's fun. That's about it. I'll have an observations blog up later today. #Bills @buffalobills Ed Reed being very hands on in his first look as DBs coach at #BillsOTAs. https://twitter.com/i/videos/tweet/735127642991648768?embed_source=clientlib&player_id=6&rpc_init=1 Edited May 24, 2016 by 26CornerBlitz
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Wow, the media got but hurt on this extraordinarly fast. Look, I get it from the team's perspective. We've just hit OTA's and everything since has been screaming about how they've overpaid Glenn, how how they are doomed because Sammy might miss some preseason, and they aren't respecting Taylor, and Whaley and the entire medical staff should be fired because Shaq will miss 5 games with a veteran backup in position. So the new rules are the "this is why we can't nice things" response and the live tweeters are throwing a hissy fit.

Heitz Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Jon Scott @JonTWCNews Jerry Hughes says everybody is buying into defensive system, which is more 3-4 than last year. Unpossible!

Guys are putting in the work." @wgrz #Bills Jerry Hughes says he's embracing more of a linebacker type role. @wgrz @JonTWCNews Hughes says #Bills D has "leaps and bounds" better understanding of Rex scheme now from last year. @AdamSchein The Bills new media policy is pathetic, backwards, and hurts the amazing & passionate Bills fans who crave information. Sad. @JonTWCNews Gun Show Tyrod Taylor #Bills @TBNSports Our live coverage of #Bills OTAs continues. Players, Rex coming up. "We've had a great offseason." @mikerodak Rex Ryan on absence of top CB Stephon Gilmore: "I wish Stephon was here but these are voluntary workouts." He's on 1st team in place of Gilmore #Bills @buffalobills "If he didn't have the surgery he could play right now. What we're trying to get is Shaq Lawson at 100%" Edited May 24, 2016 by 26CornerBlitz
boyst Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Elite CBs give up no catches during the course of a season. #NotOne love this stuff. Making an argument Darby BS dude in kc I can't remember right this second... his stats had more tackles and passes defended etc late in season. I had laughed. There are no dssy stats to judge a corner. Look at deion sanders stats or revis' in his prime. No one threw St them and when they did. Boom intoSherman, for example, passed on all day
26CornerBlitz Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 @mikerodak Rex Ryan says despite DT Marcell Dareus' absence today at OTAs, his top defensive lineman has participated in... http://es.pn/1WMt9xF @thadbrown7 Rex says Dareus has been in attendance for 90 percent if workouts prior http://to.today . Called him "fixture" here @AdamBenigni #Bills Rex Ryan: "Shaq Lawson could have played now... We wanted to get him at 100-percent. That's why we had the surgery." @wgrz #Bills Rex Ryan: "We didn't draft Shaq Lawson for the first five games of the season. We drafted him to be a great player for a long time." @Deadspin Reporters work around Buffalo Bills' dumb media policy: http://deadsp.in/iLR2cFO @JonTWCNews Rex has no updates on Seantrel Henderson's health. Says he hasn't seen him in quite a while. #Bills @mikerodak Rex Ryan says he doesn't want to speculate on the health issue that kept top TE Charles Clay out of practice... http://es.pn/1WMtobX
K-9 Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Social media has changed *everything* about how fans and the media cover the NFL. It's not surprising that some teams are trying to figure out how to control the message. I'm not defending the Bills at all, just saying I'm not surprised. I agree. I think more teams will be moving towards stricter policies due to social media. There's reporting and then there is stream of consciousness reporting, which is what social media has engendered. But is is stupid and arrogant of the organization to think this helps the situation. GO BILLS!!!

boyst Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 This is not a political statement but the mockery of this reminds me of the NC bathroom law.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 @AdamBenigni #Bills Rex Ryan: "This all in thing isn't just a slogan." @wgrz
Deranged Rhino Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 A very odd stance for an organization that just had a major PR failure. Reminds me of a commercial of the kid standing in front of grizzlies and dozens of fish strapped on him. Game on Berchtold. My guess is that Bills don't come out looking good in this one when "all" is said & done.
