RJsackedagain Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 for a second there I thought we were having a discussion about Darius Rucker. ....... Coming next week --- Anyone see Gary Coleman on Celebrity dating??
Marv Levy Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 I just saw the commercial last night. I couldn't believe my eyes, knowing it was that a s s Wi pe from HOOTIE and THE BUGNUTS! Then I remember someone posted a note about him on The Stadium Wall and I had to throw my two cents in. This band BLEW big time the minute I heard them in the middle '90s. Disgusting Corporate music!! The BK commercial is even worse signing about some stupid chicken ranch swiss. I'm sure he got paid well and didn't have to split it with the rest of the BLOWFISH!
Marv Levy Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Wasn't this posted last week?Hey, Mods!!!! 254099 Yeah, so what? Hootie and the blowfish really piss me off so I wanted to rag on the commercial. OK?
Alaska Darin Posted February 26, 2005 Author Posted February 26, 2005 Yeah, so what? Hootie and the blowfish really piss me off so I wanted to rag on the commercial. OK? 254142 Well, there's something to get angry about.
bluenews Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 He's singing a damn Burger King jingle dressed like Buffalo Bob. "Tender crisp bacon chedder ranch..." 246736 below the bottom
ExiledInIllinois Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 Wasn't he that damn Pittsburgh Penguin that scored the clinching playoff goal against the Sabres? Oh wait, wrong Darius... That was Darius Kasperitus?
Ralonzo Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 At first this commercial was merely annoying. Then they released an extended version. Then they started jamming it during EVERY commercial break on most cable channels. It's all I can do to frantically slam the 'mute' button before being overtaken by the urge to thrust knitting needles through my eardrums, or change the channel before I'm compelled to pour bleach in my eyes. It was my understanding that an ad campaign is supposed to persuade the consumer to purchase the advertiser's product. The only thing this commercial motivates me to do is flame-broil the nearest BK to the ground. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: BK
SF Bills Fan Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 He probably felt embarrased for about a minute or so when he saw it on TV last night. Then rolled around in a pile of money and felt better.
