B-Man
The day I think of Facebook as a news source is the day you get to call me blind. The day I believe the crap Facebook puts in my face is the day you get to call me partisan. Both dates have not yet come. Certainly , it is not required for you to think of facebook as a news source, but to deny it's influence on others is a great example of your blindness From liberal VOX: Facebook has more influence over Americans than any media company in history http://www.vox.com/2016/5/10/11640140/facebook-media-influence How Facebook changed our lives - USA Today www.usatoday.com The Influence Of Facebook - BBG Communicationswww.usbbgcommunications Where is Facebooks claim to unbias? B-Man
I actually read the article and didn't see Zuck say "unbiased" or "news." I can find it online in a few seconds............... “We’ve built Facebook to be a platform for all ideas. Our community’s success depends on everyone feeling comfortable sharing anything they want,” Mr. Zuckerberg said in a post afterward. “It doesn’t make sense for our mission or our business to suppress political content or prevent anyone from seeing what matters most to them.” At the same time, he said he realized that “many conservatives don’t trust that our platform surfaces content without a political bias.” http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/may/18/mark-zuckerberg-continues-deny-bias-after-facebook/ http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/05/facebook-ceo-meets-conservatives-reported-bias-160519050030399.html or Perhaps you would like Facebook's own news release about the bias claims ? http://newsroom.fb.com/news/2016/05/information-about-trending-topics/ Edited May 20, 2016 by B-Man
....lybob
It's amazing that a news provider can claim to be unbiased or fair and balanced when they are obviously not - take that "Face News" or is it "Fox Book"

Rupert Murdoch has stated explicitly that it's a conservatively-biased news network.
3rdnlng
Facebook has a section called "Trending", indicating that they are posting the most read or popular stories. If they are not doing that then they are falsely representing themselves.
Keukasmallies
We're on the verge of electing a president from reality TV. Might as well whine about the journalistic integrity of Facebook news. I'm not sure Hill'ry actually will be elected. I am sure she is one of the two stars in a long-running drama about a country where voters kowtow to those who deliver the most freebies. It's a reality TV self promoter vs a maleficent scheming sell out. Don't confuse the two.
