26CornerBlitz Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 @nflnetwork NUMBER 96 @buffalobills WR @sammywatkins #NFLTop100
NoSaint Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Sammy is only 96? I feel like the gap between RI and SW is more than 1 spot
Hot Buffalo Wings Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 I feel like the gap between RI and SW is more than 1 spotI agree. Sammy will be much higher next year after helping us make the playoffs.
FluffHead Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 So the next two to go higher than Sammy are mike Daniels and Gary Barnidge. Riiiiiight. Sammy should be top 50 at least
YoloinOhio Posted May 5, 2016 Author Posted May 5, 2016 So the next two to go higher than Sammy are mike Daniels and Gary Barnidge. Riiiiiight. Sammy should be top 50 at leastbarnidge is a nice player and had a breakout year but um... Yeah.
YoloinOhio Posted May 5, 2016 Author Posted May 5, 2016 Andrew luck at 92? Isn't this based on 2015 season? If he's on the list then Taylor should be too.
K-9 Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 @buffalobills "He's a special talent. One of the best receivers in this league." Sammy. Watkins. #NFLTop100 https://amp.twimg.com/prod/multibr_v_1/video/2016/05/05/00/728024289971146752-libx264-main-2028k.mp4?W3cAQv6fQR1JOF%2FumHRJZAHXmcJpHG4Fn2zwDSA8tO4%3D Liked how Revis gave him props at the end there. Nice. GO BILLS!!!

NoSaint Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Andrew luck at 92? Isn't this based on 2015 season? If he's on the list then Taylor should be too. Clearly it's not. But you knew that.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 @nflnetwork #NFLTop100 Voting - Voting took place at end of 2015 season - Over 700 players voted - They ranked their top players 1 through 20
26CornerBlitz Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Luck's 'Top 100' fade Andrew Luck cracked the top 10 in last year's 'Top 100' rankings. This year? Not even close. Marc Sessler examines Luck's bizarre No. 92 ranking from the 'Top 100 Players of 2016'.
LeGOATski Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Congrats Sammy and Richie. I like this because it's the players voting.
KellyToTasker Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Sammy is destined for "great" things. I really hope, at the end of his career, he's known as a Buffalo Bill. That said, he doesn't get the respect, nor the recognition he would receive from a large market (or a team with a proven QB). We all hope, Tyrod will be his Jim Kelly....If not, Sammy will move on to a bigger stage.
Big C Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 So the next two to go higher than Sammy are mike Daniels and Gary Barnidge. Riiiiiight. Sammy should be top 50 at least I agree when comparing them, but given how unceremoniously Sammy's season began, I get the ranking. Can we keep a running list in the OP please?

As long as he stays healthy and they start making the playoffs, I think he'll become a household name.
4merper4mer Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Where is 4merper4mer when we need him? I will reserve judgment until I see where Matt Hasselbeck ends up. Clearly he was better than Luck as the WL improved drastically when MH came in. This thing probably just skews to QBs. Regarding Sammy: if given the choice is there a single GM that would add Barnidge to their team if given the option between him and Sammy? This whole thing is dumb.
Screwball Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Luck's 'Top 100' fade From the same link: » Thousand-yard seasons were enough to help Sammy Watkins (No. 96) and Jarvis Landry (No. 98) make their first Top 100. Both players are candidates for major jumps on next year's list.

Step further and you polled every NFL player and said, "you can have Barnidge or Watkins on your team, choose 1" what would the results be? I'd venture to say (conservatively) 75% would pick Watkins. They are the ones that voted, which is why I don't totally understand it. Edited May 5, 2016 by Kirby Jackson
4merper4mer Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 To take it. They are the ones that voted, which is why I don't totally understand it. I could see some players picking 1-2 guys from each position. Barnidge would get a higher percentage of the TE vote than Sammy got of the WR vote simply because of numbers. Still screwy but I could see that happening.
