LabattBlue Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 They went on the road and beat Fresno State. It was an ugly game and both teams looked really bad at times, but in the end UB did what they had to, in order to win a close road game. On the other side of the fence...Niagara went to Akron and lost. I still think there is a decent chance that both teams could win their conference tourneys and get into the big dance! :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: NHLPA. Go Bulls! Go Purple Eagles!
Stussy109 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Go UB.... They have been racking up the W's lately. It hasn't been pretty, but then again it never needed to be. There Defense is solid game in and game out. Had 1/2 of their missed shots fallen yesterday, like all of the in and out layups, and calvin cage not connecting for any of his threes, we would have blown that team out of the water. They have a solid team this year, but need to step up their inside play to make it big.
Greg de'Ville Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 ...UB's in good shape for the NIT. They'd have to win the automatic bid (win the MAC tourney) to go the Big Dance.
Hammered a Lot Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Ugly game, but it's a WWWWWWW in the books. I think the play by play guys said UB had a 15 hour trip including 3 hours on a bus from Oakland!!
kegtapr Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 I almost spit out my Cheerios when I saw UB on ESPN 2 the other day. Who would have thought.
