YoloinOhio Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Houston for a QB? I was thinking NYG at 23 if OJ Howard was still around but they might not part with a 1st with Eli getting older. they have Geno now so, all set there Quote
thebandit27 Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 They always have a ton of elite talent, i would like anyone drafted from there. They usually underachieved but maybe now that Les is gone they will do something with it. with O'Brien in limbo, I bet he'd pull that trigger. He has no idea if he will even be there next year to deal with the lost pick. Houston for a QB? I was thinking NYG at 23 if OJ Howard was still around but they might not part with a 1st with Eli getting older. Yep...Houston's cupboard is bare. For a team that is getting Watt back, already had a very good defense, and is set offensive at seemingly every other position, it makes them a prime contender to make an aggressive move to get a potential franchise signal-caller in the fold. Blokestradamus Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 (edited) they have Geno now so, all set there You jest but I think Geno was about to turn the corner when IK decked him. Not franchise level but better than the crap pile he had been. I have a couple of guys I want to drop into the 20's for the fits. Oakland for Fournette and NYG for Njoku. Houston has always made the most sense for this. 10 & a 5th this year for 25, a 2nd and next year's 1st (something like that). Edited March 28, 2017 by Kirby Jackson Quote
BuffaloHokie13 Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 (edited) Not sure it's been discussed but..........how far would we have to trade down to pick up a 2018 1st rounder? I'd rather get picks this year but it might be good QB ammo if they like the Great White Hopes in the '18 class. HOU with an extra 1st and a '17 3rd & 4th would be the ideal mix of current and future planning. Quote

The one thing to keep in mind is that the team coming up almost always pays a premium. You will rarely see the team going back have a smaller point value than the team coming up. Quote

I always err on the conservative side On the HOU side, you could probably swap 5:12 w/ 5:27 (1322.6) For ATL you could add a 6th or 7th probably For NYG you could probably go with 5:12 instead of 5:27 & 6:11 (1328.6) TENN you could probably drop the 5:27 to our 6:11 (1313) Edited March 28, 2017 by BuffaloHokie13 Quote
GunnerBill Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 I never had a 1st on Tabor regardless. I have him and White both as 2nd rounders. I don't really have a surprise 1st round grade this year. Still basking in the Deion Jones glow from last year :-D Quote

His strength was best amongst TEs, his 3-cone was close to 7.0, and his shot shuttle was below Njoku's Quote

I didn't think he lived up to the hype leading up to the combine, maybe I'm putting too much on the 40. It's a very deep TE class. I'm pretty sure we grab one in the middle rounds. Quote

CommonCents Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Tre White at 44, I'm in! Thanks for the link guys. White is billed as a man cover guy and a weak tackler, I'm not sure how well he would fit with what this new staff wants to do. I love the player and don't totally buy that he is soft though. If he is there in the second that would be great. Quote

Short area burst and can read the QB. Quote
