LB3 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) I couldn't be happier about this! The legal issues have been sorted out. For my money, this series is better than Game of Thrones, which I also really enjoy. "All was shattered, and all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the Shadow and the Breaking of the World. And him they named Dragon." Time to roll the dice. Acantha Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 I'll be curious to see what network this airs on. This could end up being really bad if it isn't given the right treatment.
LB3 Posted May 1, 2016 Author Posted May 1, 2016 The network chosen will be crucial. I'm skeptical of FXX because of the awful pilot, "Winter Dragon". I know it was done hastily to keep the TV rights at the time, but it was bad. Ideally HBO or Showtime will get it.
TakeYouToTasker Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 This is fantastic news. For my money, this series is the very best that the fantasy genre has to offer. Robert Jordan was a masterful story teller, and Brandon Sanderson closed out his work beautifully. Hopefully Sanderson and Jordan's widow will be in on the project.
