YoloinOhio Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Weird pick for Raiders mainly because they had to trade up to take him.
ExWNYer Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Weird pick for Raiders mainly because they had to trade up to take him. That was my thought, as well. Why trade up to get your backup?
26CornerBlitz Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 @RapSheet What led to the #Raiders trading up to take Connor Cook? My explanation: https://www.facebook.com/rapsheetnfl/videos/1037377212995524/
K D Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Connor Cook in the 4th is a no brainier. I don't see the dropoff between Goff, Wentz, Cook. Great value
Buffalo Barbarian Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Connor Cook in the 4th is a no brainier. I don't see the dropoff between Goff, Wentz, Cook. Great value yep, still odd the Raiders took him though.
Doc Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Cook's not going to see the field anytime during his rookie contract, if Carr continues playing like he has been.
Sisyphean Bills Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Going zero to one deep across your roster isn't a proven strategy.
ndirish1978 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Connor Cook in the 4th is a no brainier. I don't see the dropoff between Goff, Wentz, Cook. Great value Come on man, that's delusional. He went in the 4th with tons of other QBs going between him and the first two picks in the draft. You think somehow you're smarter than EVERY team in the NFL? If he were worth that, someone would have taken him with the third pick.

Your attempts at logic will go unappreciated by the target...That much I can assure you...
TPS Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Nice call by those calling the Cook trade rumor a smoke screen for Jones.
eball Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 yep, still odd the Raiders took him though. Raiders took him to hold a clipboard and be some insurance for Carr.
Saxum Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Cook hopefully can be some insurance that when Carr has to be resigned and wants $50 million a year that can put that pain off for a few years.
C.Biscuit97 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) NFL "reporters" are the worst. The only ones I trusit are Schefter, Glazer, & Ian Rapaport. Edited April 30, 2016 by C.Biscuit97

YoloinOhio Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 I neither love nor hate Cook. But I watched him play a ton. And I'm still surprised no team who needed a starter drafted him before the Raiders took him as a backup option. I know he's kind of a d-bag, but he must really have some skeletons.
Reed83HOF Posted May 1, 2016 Author Posted May 1, 2016 NFL "reporters" are the worst. The only ones I trusit are Schefter, Glazer, & Ian Rapaport. Schefter? He is awful now. Listening to his agent too much
ronnieroscoe Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 La Canfora is the biggest idiot in the media, and that's saying something.
ganesh Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Connor Cook in the 4th is a no brainier. I don't see the dropoff between Goff, Wentz, Cook. Great value ANd possibly a great trade bait for the future.
