Reed83HOF Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora 2m2 minutes ago Would take trading some 2017 ammo to likely do it, but I hear the Bills trying to find way to land Connor Cook tomorrow
Dennis in NC Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Well, doesn't this suck that this guy is giving away secrets like that? It gives any other team wanting Cook incentive to move up a bit higher than the Bills might move up.
KOKBILLS Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Is this the right place to mention how much I hate LaCanfora?
DanInUticaTampa Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 If LaCanfora said it, it probably wrong. His source keeps giving out wrong info, like Vic's source

DanInUticaTampa Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 He's the worst...LaCanfora that is... And if Whaley keeps trading Draft picks to move up I'm not going to be a happy camper... I doubt he will do it for cook. Our 4th rounder can't be traded. so our pick at the bottom of the third plus whatever to get a 4th rounder doesn't seem likely. Even if you trade a 4th next year (which we don't have), plus our 5th this year wouldn't be enough. I think they stay pat in the 4th round. possibly trade up in the 5th if there is someone they really like. Ragland was worth trading up for imo, even if the picks weren't totally worth what others were doing. he was a first round talent and instantly fixes are run defense
Virgil Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 He's the worst...LaCanfora that is... And if Whaley keeps trading Draft picks to move up I'm not going to be a happy camper... Normally, I'd agree. But let's say that Lawson and Ragland were really first round picks and Cook was a third rounder, once considered a potential first. If I told you we lost this years 4th and 6th and next years 4th and 5th to get those 3, you taking it? I feel like most would.
Reed83HOF Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 And It's on.... Tim Graham @ByTimGraham 2m2 minutes ago I'm told Bills are uninterested in trading up for Connor Cook. 1 retweet 1 like
Wayne Cubed Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Would the Bills honestly let this slip out so that every other team could know? National insiders get "used" so much this time of year. Whaley said they had been trying to trade up for Ragland starting last night, no one had that, I don't think.
FluffHead Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 LaCanfora is wrong more than any other insider, and it seems he is especially wrong when it comes to the Bills. I like Cook as a player but I'll trust Timmay here
Virgil Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 I really don't think it's real, as much as I dislike thin skinned Graham. If he really was rated high for the Bills, we'd have taken him with our 3rd. I expect someone at 4

This is the first year compensatory picks may be traded. Maybe I'm wrong?

Webster Guy Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 stay put. best RG/RT on the board or WR (please no small burners that get hurt every play)

Well...It's two not three...At least for the picks we would give/gave up...We did not give anything up for Lawson... I don't like Cook much...And I especially dislike giving up picks...It goes against my basic philosophy...For numerous reasons...I was against the Sammy trade...not that I don't like having Sammy...But I believe in more picks and great Scouting...It's just the way I am... I can stomach the Ragland thing...But enough of Trading Draft picks...It's cheap labor and the Bills are not that good, or deep yet...And Cook? No thanks... Edited April 30, 2016 by KOKBILLS

We need a WR and a S from this draft still.
