K-Apps Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Needed a safety badly and we take a rotational D-Line player cmon
Kirby Jackson Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Good player that can rush the passer from the inside. I am really happy with the draft so far. I'd like a WR (Braxton) and a safety (Simmons) and I would be thrilled.
DrDawkinstein Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) Would rather have had Miller. Guess I'll settle for his teammate. At least all of our picks have been from the "Big 3" this year. In Doug I'll have to trust. Edited April 30, 2016 by DrDareustein
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 We really needed a offense in that spot, but this is what you get with Rex. Who needs offense? The genius Rex has it all under control.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Sounds like a perfect replacement for Kyle Williams. Front Seven is getting better.
papazoid Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 interior pressure Has above average foot quickness for his size and quick hands to disengage. Works his feet and hands together effectively and keeps blockers guessing. He's surprisingly agile and flashes a quick double move as a pass rusher. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft/player/_/id/49660

Dorkington Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 I was expecting something along the lines of a NT if/when we went DT, so this is interesting to me... Either way, three positions I wanted early are done, so now BPA for the rest?
RussellDopeland Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Urban Meyer on NFL Network said he's a DT with a DE skillset. He sounds exactly like the type of lineman Rex covets.
DrDawkinstein Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Just seems like a need pick - can't imagine he was BPA on their board... But thats the thing. His position isnt really a need.
Big C Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 wish we would've went offense. Was this a bigger need than a 2nd legit WR? I have to imagine they have some sort of plan, or are confident in Woody and Hanky as the #2 and #3 for this year. Going WR next year, perhaps?
JM57 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 This pick just doesn't do it for me. He's a rotational guy and you don't pick for 40 picks after the trade up. Too early for a rotational guy.
The Wiz Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) You don't go for depth in the 3rd. There were a lot of players left on the board. I don't get itNot for nothing but think of how bad they were without either Kyle or Marcel last year. Depth doesn't hurt but probably could have gotten him in the fourth if they still had the picks. Sticking to the board. Edited April 30, 2016 by The Wiz
Big C Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 But thats the thing. His position isnt really a need. I think Kyle's days are numbered at this point. This makes some sense to me.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 There is no available receiver that could fill a need in 2016. Would rather just sign a vet WR.
Heitz Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Fwiw: http://www.walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2016awashington.php Pretty sure someone on TBD has booed every pick
KOKBILLS Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) Rotational DT. Not really excited. He's fine. Some Scouts love him...Some are lukewarm...Still graded out at #43 overall on PFF's big board...His pass rush grade was sky high...He's going to come in on 3rd downs and rush the passer from the 3 tech I imagine...
