KOKBILLS Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 I did a consensus Big Board a few days ago including Pro Football Focus, NFL.com, CBS.com, Great Blue North, and Draft Breakdown Consensus...Shaq came out at #11 overall...We got him at #19...That's about as good value as you can hope for in the 1st Round...

boyst Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Was that from the same game that Gruden said Stanley owned Lawson all day long? strangely this footage is impossible to find. but you can find both players against about everyone else. this is all i could find. http://www.nbcsports.com/video/2016-nfl-draft-ronnie-stanley-vs-shaq-lawson
YoloinOhio Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 @viccarucci Shaq Lawson tells #Bills media that right shoulder injury happened in freshman year & hasn't given him a problem since.
TheFunPolice Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 (edited) I'm excited about the pick just worried about the shoulder Edit: saw the above post after I posted. Sounds like less of a big deal than the commentators were letting on Edited April 29, 2016 by TheFunPolice
NoSaint Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 He needs shoulder surgery that will require 4-6 months of rehab once done.... Oh but it can wait until AFTER the season. Does that make any sense? If imagine there are plenty of procedures that have high recovery times but are generally low risk to play through. Any given Sunday you likely see a ton of guys in that boat.
Wayne Cubed Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Yea I'm confused. Not sure how this can wait until after a season of NFL football?? He's had it since his freshman year. He didn't even know about it, it hasn't bothered him. It's not an issue.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Shaq said it's his right shoulder and he's been playing with it since his Freshman year at Clemson. Says he feels 100% healthy.
mrags Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Sullivan is an asshat. He actually asked him if Shaq was short for Shaquile. Idiot.
LOVEMESOMEBILLS Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 strangely this footage is impossible to find. but you can find both players against about everyone else. this is all i could find. http://www.nbcsports.com/video/2016-nfl-draft-ronnie-stanley-vs-shaq-lawson Lawson had 0 sacks 7 tackles half of which were tackles for loss.
Reed83HOF Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Tim Graham @ByTimGraham 22s22 seconds ago Shaq Lawson says there's "no truth whatsoever" to @AdamSchefter report that Lawson needs shoulder surgery.
CNY315 Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 (edited) Lawson had 0 sacks 7 tackles half of which were tackles for loss. He would have had at least one Edited April 29, 2016 by CNY315
3rdand12 Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Honest question for people: what kind of front are we looking at if Hughes is opposite Lawson, and we are "fully pregnant"? get the midwife quick!!
NoSaint Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 So what the !@#$ is Schefter talking about?Again, lots of guys playing dinged because the risk of flare up is low but recovery time high. He will need to have his shoulder cleaned up at some point and next offseason as a low mileage guy with a full NFL offseason is a prime time to do it--- so it will likely get done
Observer Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 He needs shoulder surgery that will require 4-6 months of rehab once done.... Oh but it can wait until AFTER the season. Does that make any sense? Yes.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Shaq says he does NOT need shoulder surgery. Said Schefter is FOS.
NoSaint Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Tim Graham @ByTimGraham 22s22 seconds ago Shaq Lawson says there's "no truth whatsoever" to @AdamSchefter report that Lawson needs shoulder surgery. Or maybe he can play through it long term
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 how did mario's poor play truly impact how ****ty we were on defense? hint: it didn't. teams still passed all over our middle. ran up the gut of the defense. so, again, DE not needed. LB needed. we both agree. lawson may have been bpa or close but there were better picks considering his shoulder issue, his size and frame. i am fine with this pick. he's going to be alright but i'd much rather have gone a different direction, like treadwell, lee (who would be ideal for safety and linebacker), butler or even jack based solely on positional value to this scheme. You're in 4-man front most of the time anyway, so we needed a 2nd edge rusher to line up at DE opposite Hughes. The fact that he has a big body and is powerful, can 2 gap and set the edge against the run = cha ching. I think its a perfect fit and love this pick.
