Position wise the Bills got the "Type" Of player they needed, but the shoulder injury is a huge concern. I like the pick but as always it is wait and see. Pass rush for now has been upgraded plenty of ways they can go tomorrow in round 2.

Seems stiff to me. Too thick of an upper body to get around the edge. He's built more like a small guard than a DE. I'll hope for the best, but not who I would have gone with.

If I had any doubts about him, they're now erased

Thank you

I had Lawson and Dodd rated very close together and personally preferred Dodd, for a couple reasons.

That said they both are excellent EDGE guys and I can't believe he was there at 19. Crazy 1st round.

@adamschefter

New Bills' DE Shaq Lawson will need shoulder surgery that sidelines him 4-6 months at some point, probably after next season, per sources.

Shefty couldn't wait to put this out there. What a dick

how can it be a "huge concern" for you when you don't even know the nature of the injury AND the Bills medical staff signed off on the pick ?

Too thick an upper body to get around the edge. That is gold.

GO BILLS!!!

I know he's a "power" guy but he seemed a little heavy in looking at him. He could be interesting if they can get 10-15 pounds off of him while maintaining the strength.

Keep the weight on. I'm thinking Shaq has a role similar to Michael Bennett in Seattle.

That's a serious concern that Whaley should address immediately.
