/dev/null
It's hard to deny the media isn't getting their propaganda from Hilary when they all use the same phrase. it's not so much that the media are getting their propaganda from Hiliary as the media, Hiliary, and the Democrat party are all tentacles of the same Leviathon. B-Man
Why the Media Celebration of Hillary’s ‘Historic’ Victory Felt So Forcedby Jonah Goldberg FTA: No, my point is that Barack Obama was largely a blank slate in 2008, and he was seen in no small part categorically as The First Black President. That’s not the case with Hillary Clinton. She’s a known quantity, love her or hate her. She is like one of her husband’s cold sores; she’s been in plain sight for decades. The fun part of all this is that what is a victory for feminism is a setback for Clinton. That’s because on the merits, she’s not even a fraction as interesting or exciting as the category. Another woman might have excited all of those young Bernie Sanders fans early on in the primaries. But they were more excited by breaking the taboo on socialist presidents than female ones.In other words, Hillary Clinton isn’t about to bump her head on any Platonic ideals any time soon. She’s boring, paranoid, corrupt, and deceitful. If she had never been a martyr to her husband’s pants, she’d never be within striking distance of being president. Spare me the talk about how in private she’s so charming and wonderful. She’s had over 30 years to pull the curtain back and show how great the real Mrs. Oz is. Instead she laughs like a broken animatronic pirate at the Pirates of the Caribbean ride every time she’s asked about the — alleged — felonies she’s committed. But let no one say they aren’t excited that she’s a woman. Dorkington
I'll make a new poll after the conventions. I plan to add Green Party and Libertarian Party candidates, after all is said and done. I'm actually surprised that Clinton has this many supporters here considering the general narrative of PPP.

She has more in common with centrist republicans that she does with the left. She's a neo con, not a progressive. If this were 1996 she'd be running as the republican nominee. Deranged Rhino
Define "true Republican." Depends on the year. But Hillary has much more in common with republicans of the late 90s, early aughts, than she does with the progressive wing of the Democratic party -- which has become a far left party as much as the GOP had become a far right party prior to the Trumplosion. When you do get around to that second poll, I'm curious to see who the third parties are drawing from, at least in this crowd. If at all possible, could you make it two questions, one being Trump or Hillary, and the second being Trump, Hillary, Johnson, or Stein?

If you go this route, for the second poll can it be Trump/Hiliary/Stay Home I am a strong supporter in the concept of consent of the governed, and I do not consent to either. I understand that whichever wins will act more a ruler than a governor.

DC Tom
If Trump wins we are in big trouble. We NEED to be in big trouble, for people to realize how !@#$ed-up our government has become. You know what my current favorite hobby is? Asking people why they support their candidate of choice, then when they answer something to the effect of "They represent my beliefs," asking them who's running in their Congressional races. Then enjoying the blank looks on their faces when they realize they not only don't know, but don't know why it should matter. You know what the solution is to elections like this one? Paying more attention to the candidates who actually represent you in the government, not the presidency.
