I have been almost shocked by the positive "vibe" that now exists in the city of Buffalo and the pleasant changes that are taking place all over the city. It is a different place from the one I left about 25 years ago. Don't get me wrong, there remains plenty of decay and problems. This is not Paris, London or whatever "world" city you want to hold out as awesome. However, it is a good solid community that is trying its best to build on what is positive. The people are great, (with no offense to Chef Jim in what may be the best foodie city on the planet) the food is great and for now even the weather is great.

If you have not been back for a visit in a some time try to get back here.

I assume the mention of me refers to SF?? All I have to say is great food does not a great city make. It helps but boy what a bunch of !@#$ing snobs! Spent last weekend in Paso Robles (Central Coast wine country) and I'll take farming people of the earth over city snobs any day all day.
