VirginiaMike Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Skip Bayless and Stephen A are everything wrong with espn. +1 WITH THIS THOUGHT.
hondo in seattle Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 (edited) Sports media is going the way of politics, transitioning from reasonable commentary and rational debate to partisan ranting and outrageous sensationalizing... Jamie Horowitz, the president of Fox Sports National Networks, toldMichael McCarthy of Sporting News in March that he was interested in bringing a personality like Bayless into the Fox family: I look at these "opinionists" like superstars in the NBA. You can probably name the dozen superstars who are out there. It's like asking the (Boston) Celtics, "Are you interested in Kevin Durant?" Yes, we're interested in all the superstars. Of course, I'm interested in Skip. I'm interested in Stephen A. and Michael (Smith) and Jemele [Hill] and (Tony) Kornheiser and (Michael) Wilbon. Just like ESPN and Fox were both interested in Colin [Cowherd]. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2635852-skip-bayless-to-leave-espn-latest-details-comments-and-reaction?utm_source=cnn.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=editorial Edited April 27, 2016 by hondo in seattle

iinii Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 I'm not a Tirico guy either, I read an article saying this move sets him up for a possible Super Bowl and Olympic appearance. That's crazy. I can think of about 10 guys if rather have calling the game. Tirico blows
Helpmenow Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Bring back Dick Enberg! He does the Padres games
CommonCents Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 He does the Padres games He retired, the Padres hired Orsillo this offseason.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 @sportswatch NBC is making a major talent announcement at 2 p.m., presumably Mike Tirico. ESPN is making one at 3 p.m., presumably Sean McDonough to MNF.
aristocrat Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 if bayless left espn i might start watching espn again. dude is the worst.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Solid choice for MNF. @richarddeitsch ESPN has called a conference call at 3PM with its Monday Night Football execs. Sean McDonough officially gets the Tirico gig today.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 @jasonrmcintyre ESPN NFL bombshell. Goodbye Ray Lewis & Cris Carter. Replaced by ... http://thebiglead.com/2016/05/09/major-upheaval-continues-on-espn-nfl-coverage-cris-carter-ray-lewis-out-randy-moss-in/
Mr. WEO Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 @jasonrmcintyre ESPN NFL bombshell. Goodbye Ray Lewis & Cris Carter. Replaced by ... http://thebiglead.com/2016/05/09/major-upheaval-continues-on-espn-nfl-coverage-cris-carter-ray-lewis-out-randy-moss-in/ Hey good for Moss. Carter was too full of himself all the time and Lewis is a mushmouth who rarely can provide cogent analysis. I thought Dilfer was pretty good explaining the QB game. Hasselback must be a lot cheaper.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 carter and lewis were the worst. This time he's the fall guy. @ESPNMondayNight Sean McDonough will be the new play-by-play voice for Monday Night Football. http://es.pn/1Wl5k08

Screwball Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 happy to hear ray lewis is leaving. Rumours starting to float that he will be joining the Bills coaching staff.
aristocrat Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Rumours starting to float that he will be joining the Bills coaching staff. no
Not at the table Karlos Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Rumours starting to float that he will be joining the Bills coaching staff. heard this as well. If he can get the players to understand the scheme I would be fine with it.
chris heff Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Rumours starting to float that he will be joining the Bills coaching staff. Bills are working on having a 53 person coaching staff, one for each roster spot.
