KellyToTasker
Some guys are able to do so much (big contracts) off of so little. Bradford is the result of circumstance and he was able to receive very large pay days because of his varying situations (when drafted, etc.). The overall QB play in the NFL sucks and he may look like a complete arse, but what does he care? He already made plenty of money. If it hurts him, so be it. But, I bet he gets another shot somewhere.
Saxum
He can always do what Byrd did: claim injury to hold out, and come back when convenient to help his stock. Â This is exactly why guaranteed contracts are bad for NFL; Orton got to keep a large bonus from Dallas by "retiring" and then coming back out of retirement when Cowboys could not afford to pay his salary close to end of training camp. Â I thought the situation with Orton was he didn't actually retire, but held out and paid fines for missing minicamp, then begrudingly showed up at training camp, until the Cowboys got fed up and released him. Because he was released, and not retired, he got to keep his signing bonus. If he'd retired, he would have had to pay it back on a pro-rated basis. Â Bradford may intend on pulling an Orton. The question is, where's the team that would be fool enough to sign him then? If you lose QBs to injury, Bradford isn't exactly the durable guy you count on to step up and never get hurt. He told the Cowboys he was retiring but never turned in paperwork; then almost at start of season "he changed his mind" and was released because no cap space. He was released on July 15 when he reported to training camp after holding out and skipping physical.  http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/post/_/id/4732706/kyle-orton-beats-the-nfl-system  Worst part of it Cowboys went with Weeden instead. Sandy McFiddish
They are paying him $36mil over 2 seasons, I would do whatever the hell the team wants for that.

Well, yeah, but you didn't just complete a 6 year, $76 million dollar contract with the team that drafted you, during which you spent 1 1/2 years getting paid for your knee rehab

YoloinOhio
He's back today  @rapsheet Sam Bradford has informed #Eagles personnel he'll be back in town this morning. So it's just defensive leader Fletcher Cox staying away.  #Eagles are in phase 2 of offseason conditioning. Sam Bradford missed 2 of 10 weeks 28 hours. Offense will be on-field, Bradford with it Edited May 9, 2016 by YoloinOhio
