26CornerBlitz Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 @MatthewFairburn Where does Buffalo rank on Forbes' list of the most miserable sports cities? http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2016/04/where_does_buffalo_rank_on_forbes_list_of_most_miserable_sports_cities.html#incart_river_index Orchard Park, N.Y. — It's been 16 seasons since the Buffalo Bills last made the playoffs. The Buffalo Sabres haven't qualified for the NHL postseason since 2010-2011. That alone helps makes Buffalo one of the most tortured sports fan bases in the country. The history of the two franchises only adds to their agony. So it's not a huge surprise Forbes named Buffalo the most miserable sports city in the country.
BarleyNY Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I can't tell you how many times I see the title of an article and think "Wow, that looks interesting! I'm going to have to read that. Oh, wait, it's from Forbes. Nevermind."
billstein22 Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I can't tell you how many times I see the title of an article and think "Wow, that looks interesting! I'm going to have to read that. Oh, wait, it's from Forbes. Nevermind." haha had the exact same reaction.
Mr. WEO Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I can't tell you how many times I see the title of an article and think "Wow, that looks interesting! I'm going to have to read that. Oh, wait, it's from Forbes. Nevermind." This prevents you from reading an article?
Mike in Horseheads Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 We're number 1!
hondo in seattle Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 While I'm a born and bred Bills fan originally from Cheektowaga, the Browns have been my second favorite NFL club since I was maybe 9 years old. Doubly cursed.
Jerry Jabber Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 In the words of the Iron Shiek "F@ck the Forbes!"
SF Bills Fan Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 No surprise and you can't argue with it. I do feel like the misery is going to come to an end soon- Sabres are improved and headed in right direction, at least.
May Day 10 Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 THANK YOU It bothers me when these things rank Philly, Atlanta, and even Cleveland in front of us..... although I can see the case for Cleveland.
BarleyNY Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 This prevents you from reading an article? Yes. Great titles, but poor articles. After reading some I learned they weren't worth my time.
Mr. WEO Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Yes. Great titles, but poor articles. After reading some I learned they weren't worth my time. This type of article is fluff, but I think most of their NFL related stuff is very well written. I look forward to the annual valuation report too.
hondo in seattle Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I'd rather be #1 on this list than #2 or #3. If we're going to be miserable, let's get some credit for it! Hopefully I live to see the day when we're not on this list at all.
White Linen Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I'd put us at number one knowing how many people will read it too. They're not dumb ever how misguided the article is.
boater Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Forbes the magazine from years years ago, to Forbes the website of today is akin to the fall of the Roman Empire. I used to buy the mag because it brought hours of coherent and meaningful reading. On the other hand: the website provides slideshows written by at home authors paid $10 a project.
boyst Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 This prevents you from reading an article? they block you if you block ads. I don't read forbes
