The Patricheats have struck gold in past - Antowain Smith is an example who became a very good workhorse back for them.

I thought he was a decent workhorse back for us. Then we, you know....

Why the heck do the *cheats seem enamored with the Bills leftovers and castaways?

Probably for the same reason they demand getting extra rest before one game a year against the Bills.

Antowain was the same for the Bills as he was for the Cheaters. IOW, nothing special.

Good for him, I truly wish him success even if it's the pats

I still wonder why he was cut

Lingering injury ?

Thin on LBs, i wonder too.

if it was an injury so serious that the Bills chose to not wait for him to get healthy and just move on, while being so thin at the position... I doubt the Pats would sign him... That's why I wonder Edited by YoloinOhio

Belichick is way past his prime at evaluating players and to a notable extent as a game planner as well, IMO.

He's basically late 1980's Don Shula at this point.

Their trajectory is about the same.......won SB's with great defense and a keen feel for chemistry and how to get away with a little cheating.......then adapted his style to the passing game as it became more important with tremendous success but ultimately less success in the SB.

Bad judgement wrt personnel(and assistant coaches) ultimately undid Shula and it's been a weakness for BB for quite a few years now.

Which makes it all the more frustrating that we can't step up and beat him.

But you have to admit, their latest innovation - a double TE set with a power running game and meaningful investment in their interior line - is pretty freakin' clever, though perhaps obvious. Not only will their new offense better protect Brady in his twilight years, but it's also just enough "against the grain" to cause problems for defenses that are increasingly light and built to stop the pass first.

How did they invest in their interior line?

The continuation of two TE sets is really going to be a B word with that guy they traded for.

Very tough to defend. Lets hope out Zach Browns is studying tape as we speak

@MarkDanielsPJ

Patriots released LB Tony Steward today. They now have an open roster spot.

Apparently they either (1) got all they needed out of him; or (2) could not get enough out of him re the Bills defense.

P.S. It is amazing how many former Bills the Pats pick up -- even for short periods of time.

i am assuming you are most likely joking?

Fred was barely with this coaching staff wasn't he? He has little to no value to BB from an intel stand point.

That is a great observation. Not only is he a former Bill, but I think that BB would put him to good use.

They get a brain scan then a memory wipe.
