YoloinOhio Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) @tony_thetiger7 Extremely grateful to the Bills organization for the opportunity they gave me. Looking forward to the next chapter. @joebuscaglia With the #Bills releasing Tony Steward, they now have three inside linebackers on the roster. THREE. PS: They have to start two. YoloinOhio Posted April 19, 2016 Author Posted April 19, 2016 @tydunne Steward was in attendance at Monday's first voluntary offseason workout. Sounds surprised by the decision.
Blokestradamus Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 The good news? We have 8 picks. The bad news? We might need to spend 3 on linebackers.
Wayne Cubed Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 @tydunne Steward was in attendance at Monday's first voluntary offseason workout. Sounds surprised by the decision. Wasn't he injured? His back, wonder if it hasn't healed properly or something.
Kirby Jackson Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 This just feels like odd timing to me. I would have certainly kept him around until I knew what other LBs I had on the roster. Maybe they were trying to do him a favor by allowing him to catch on somewhere else before the draft but it seems like they should have covered themselves first.
YoloinOhio Posted April 19, 2016 Author Posted April 19, 2016 Poor guy has had a really tough year. I also wonder if there is a medical reason.
Wayne Cubed Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Poor guy has had a really tough year. I also wonder if there is a medical reason. He had the knee during preseason and then the back during the season, I wonder if it's medical too.
Wayne Cubed Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I still hope they don't use their first round pick on ILB. Would you say that if it was Myles Jack they were using the pick on?
Peter Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I feel really bad for the guy. He seems like a great guy and has had a heart wrenching off season.
Wayne Cubed Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 No. From all accounts I've seen on him he is a once in a generation type of player. I know what you mean, I'm hoping it's not someone like Ragland either but man, if it was somehow Myles Jack, man o' man.
Captain_Quint Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Wasn't it his fiance that passed? Yes he dodged a bullet, but it's still been a tough year for him.
YoloinOhio Posted April 19, 2016 Author Posted April 19, 2016 Wasn't it his fiance that passed? yes ... Tragic story
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 @tony_thetiger7 Extremely grateful to the Bills organization for the opportunity they gave me. Looking forward to the next chapter. @joebuscaglia With the #Bills releasing Tony Steward, they now have three inside linebackers on the roster. THREE. PS: They have to start two. To the man Tony- that stinks... To the team and organization, there is little difference between 3, 4 or even 10 ILBs that are bad fits for the scheme verses none. heres hoping this is indicative of a move toward fixing the problem.
Blokestradamus Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Probably replace him with BJ Goodson to keep up the Clemson quota.
