Buffalo Barbarian Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Retired. Gonzo. Done deal Lucielle http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/04/14/percy-harvin-decides-to-retire/ gave it go, hope he enjoys his next step
Bill from NYC Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Yeah, quitting and retiring do look a lot alike. I notice that he waited to retire until it was clear that no team was going to pay him anything to play. He made his money. No vet minimum deal is getting him back on the field even long enough to quit again. He has already collected 41 million dollars in (imo) undeserved salary. His gravy train ship has sailed.
ALF Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 $6 M for 5 games with Bills , anyone could retire in style on that deal alone.
plenzmd1 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 he's retired until someone pays him what he wants..
Mr. WEO Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 gave it go, hope he enjoys his next step He won't. It will result in injury.
White Linen Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 My guess is he doesn't file retirement paperwork and goes somewhere later in the year.

fansince88 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 I think they should retire his number. His number was......
plenzmd1 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 My guess is he doesn't file retirement paperwork and goes somewhere later in the year. does not need to file any papers...he is a UFA

Gotham Bill, Whaley basically took a one year gamble on a player who had explosive talent and personality but was fragile. There were early indications that he was worth the gamble. It didn't take long for him to quickly fade due to injuries. I give Whaley credit for at least trying to find talent instead of taking a more passive approach.. He didn't work out so we move on. Nothing ventured--not gained.
BringBackFergy Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 He has already collected 41 million dollars in (imo) undeserved salary. His gravy train ship has sailed. Yep.

YoloinOhio Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Meh, I started to question him after I read the story about him pulling a gun on his dad Wait.... CBF but +1 for punching Golden Tate in the face #careerhighlight
Augie Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Lead the charge for us Percy! CBF You think he'd make it??? Was it the Kentucky Derby (or Belmont?) a few years ago where they had to drive up trucks to hide them putting the horse down on the track? Ugh, sorry - that that came to mind. Percy, we'd call a cart for you. Percy and Goodwin (on April Fools day) seemed to have something in common - they thought a lot more people would care.
