YoloinOhio Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 @tomecurran The Patriots have released oft-injured defensive lineman Dominique Easley. Easley was a 2014 first round pick. Story to come @mikegarafolo Dominique Easley has indeed been been cut by the Pats. Subject to waivers.
YoloinOhio Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 He was good when healthy. Only played 22 games in 2 years.
Big C Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 He was the flip side of the Gronk pick. Great talent but major injury concerns causing them to fall. Gronk worked out, Easley must not have.
The Big Cat Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 It's all good, the Patriots* are smarter than everyone.
CommonCents Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I would be more excited about this is Grigson didn't pass Malcom Brown to the Pats last year. He will be a problem in that middle.

Mr. WEO Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Maybe he can unite with often injured Marcus Easley? git er dun
26CornerBlitz Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 @Dan_Hatman Dan Hatman Retweeted Tom E. Curran Like most, I'm asking myself why? I understand injuries, but I can't imagine that is the full story.
CommonCents Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 they also signed Terrence Knighton. Yeah good signing to add some depth to that middle and continue to let Brown develop. Grigson is so terrible. This year i'm hoping Boyd gets drafted before the Patriots pick, he would be a perfect fit for them.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 @MikeReiss According to @patscap, Dominique Easley had a $1.9 million cap charge. By cutting him now, Patriots assume $3.6 million cap hit.
Bills of Boston Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Purely guessing... I wonder if he was the Pats player that was said to be with Tray Walker (Ravens) when he passed away?
H2o Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I wonder if there is a looming suspension of some kind on Easley's horizon?
YoloinOhio Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 I wonder if there is a looming suspension of some kind on Easley's horizon?that sounds about right
CommonCents Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Purely guessing... I wonder if he was the Pats player that was said to be with Tray Walker (Ravens) when he passed away? Safer guess, the guy is never going to be healthy enough to stay on the field and his career is most likely over..
YoloinOhio Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 Purely guessing... I wonder if he was the Pats player that was said to be with Tray Walker (Ravens) when he passed away?forgot about that @pff_bryson Easley was the Pats most productive interior defender last year, despite low snaps. Injuries the only issue with him
26CornerBlitz Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 @PFF_Bryson Easley was the Pats most productive interior defender last year, despite low snaps. Injuries the only issue with him Doesn't sound like enough to release him. Must be more there. @AaronWilson_NFL Dominique Easley facing lawsuit in Palm Beach County from Wiley Brown alleging that Easley's dog bit him, caused injuries, seeking damages

Obviously facing a suspension because Easley is responsible for the actions of his dog.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 @ArthurArkush Report: #Patriots pull another DL stunner, releasing 2014 1st-rounder Easley: http://shawurl.com/2iym The way we see it So much for it taking three years to evaluate a draft class. Arguably the smartest NFL coach saw enough Easley in two years to decide he wasn't part of the team's plans moving forward. This move comes weeks after another stunning former first-round departure in Chandler Jones and days after the addition of Terrance Knighton. It'll be interesting to see if Easley is claimed off waivers. He's a first-round talent, but that means he comes with a first-round price tag in addition to the obvious injury concerns.
