ChevyVanMiller Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Congrats, Bandits!! Dhane Smith sets team single-season records for most goals and most points. Also, the Buffalo 716ers won the first pro basketball playoff game played in Buffalo in nearly 40 years.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 now if our other sports were as good as the bandits
sodbuster Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 what the hell are the bandits? An inferior lacrosse team to their rivals in Rochester.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 An inferior lacrosse team to their rivals in Rochester. not for long
PromoTheRobot Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 now if our other sports were as good as the bandits It's a pity people don't give the Bandits more recognition for what they've done over the years.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 It's a pity people don't give the Bandits more recognition for what they've done over the years. just not popular enough of a sport
JohnC Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 just not popular enough of a sport The Bandits had more that 17,000 people at the game against Rochester. Buffalo is usually at the top or near the top of the attendance rankings.

apuszczalowski Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 They are at the playoffs already? For some reason I thought the season just started a month or so ago?
JohnC Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 that really isn't a lot, maybe if sportnetworks start showing them more like soccer than maybe more people will start paying attention. The seating capacity at the arena is approximately 18,600. In my view that is a good crowd for indoor lacrosse.

JohnC Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 (edited) i have to agree. That's more than the Columbus Blue Jackets get in a city of 1.5 mill The more events that happen at the arena will have the spillover effect of bringing more people downtown and near the waterfront. This once barren area is now a very active area that is not only bringing in people to socialize but also being a place where people want to live. What is impressive about what is going at that location is not the dramatic increase in development but the steady and consistent level of development leading to further development. That is a more sustainable approach to building up that area. Or another way of saying it is that is organic growth. Edited April 12, 2016 by JohnC
