Beef Jerky Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 (edited) So a $9 million dollar ironman guy reites and they trade away picks for a $10 million dollar cronic injury prone one. This is why I never fear the Jets. They better lower his pay or this is just going to be horrible. Edited April 9, 2016 by Beef Jerky
YoloinOhio Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Bills got same haul in 2017 for Matt Cassel as Broncos got for Ryan Clady.
YoloinOhio Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 The Jets are now $4.7M over the cap. i think I read he restructured or something to facilitate the trade
CommonCents Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Bills got same haul in 2017 for Matt Cassel as Broncos got for Ryan Clady. In fairness I'm sure Clady's contract numbers destroyed his value ala Mario. Either way it's a positional downgrade for the Jets and a player who comes with high injury concerns.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 @AlbertBreer Broncos save $8.9 million in cap space by dealing off Ryan Clady. Will carry $1.2 million in dead money. Creates room for a QB. The Jets are now $4.7M over the cap. NFL Media's Albert Breer reported that Clady adjusted his contract to facilitate the trade to the cap-strapped Jets.

YoloinOhio Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Broncos should just go sign Fitz at this point
Deranged Rhino Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Broncos should just go sign Fitz at this point That would be hilarious.
machine gun kelly Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 I thought the same thing. that would be so funny, and they get him at a good price. The above post on an ironman for an injury prone guy is so true. Even with Ferguson admitting he was not where he was in previous years, he was still a top half of the league LT. Never missed a snap in 10 bleeping years. 10! That was so impressive. Jerky, I'm with you on the Jets and the Dolphins. These guys never scare me as they make even worse decisions than us.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 @ESPN_NFLNation In one day, Jets go from Iron Man to Aluminum Man at left tackle https://t.co/ayYadURDNH
YoloinOhio Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 @profootballtalk New Ryan Clady deal: $6M, with $3M guaranteed for 2016. Jets have option for 2017 at $10M; it can escalate to $13M. Story coming at PFT.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 @RapSheet Clady's first year goes to $7.5M with incentives (Okung had $5M). Clady has 2-year max value of $20.5M. Was to make $19.5M with no guarantee
Maury Ballstein Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Bills got same haul in 2017 for Matt Cassel as Broncos got for Ryan Clady. The Matt Cassel WGR love/rumored starter preseason stuff was great.
YoloinOhio Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 The Matt Cassel WGR love/rumored starter preseason stuff was great.speaking of Cassel, have the Broncos gotten far enough down the barrell to inquire about him? Is he even still on the Cowboys?
Maury Ballstein Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 speaking of Cassel, have the Broncos gotten far enough down the barrell to inquire about him? Is he even still on the Cowboys? Cassel is gainfully employed with the Tennesee Titans. They must not have seen the Cowboys tape.
