GunnerBill Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Although if he horse-collars Brady, he prob gets a 2 year suspension. Haha. Very true.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 He wasn't cut - they just didn't resign him (yet). He's a FA. I think he may have played at UNC when John Blake was there? Anyway, he's the guy who hurt TT last year on the horse collar tackle. Found this article on him getting demoted midseason. He was, however, ranked 3rd for coverage LBs by PFF http://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/nfl/titans/2015/10/15/brown-disappointed-demotion/74014060/ Getting demoted for Woodyard isn't necessarily an indictment. The fact he horse collared TT means he caught him, which is impressive in itself. Could be a Lawson like pick up...
Tsaikotic Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 coverage LB. Very good. Need those against the Pats*P*******, among others. Although if he horse-collars Brady, he prob gets a 2 year suspension. I'd be fine with that
nucci Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 If his physical checks out the Bills should try hard to land Zach Brown. Good raw skill set for RR D, assuming he can learn it. Would be an outstanding late FA pickup at a position of dire need. Not keen on burning a first on a LB in this year's draft. Speed rusher (Spence) to complement Hughes would make more sense IMO. Do teams try to draft slow rushers?
thebandit27 Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Do teams try to draft slow rushers? No, but there are most certainly players that rely more on power than they do on speed to produce a pass rush--Mario Williams is one of them.
3rdand12 Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 coverage LB. Very good. Need those against the Pats*P*******, among others. Although if he horse-collars Brady, he prob gets a 2 year suspension. Then it will be worth the signing lol Hope they can get him.
bbb Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 He's pretty good on guitar. I have to read up on his linebacking skills
YoloinOhio Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Really nice fit. Young, fast, versatile in coverage.
GunnerBill Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Good news. I thought they needed at least one vet linebacker.
thebandit27 Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Definitely happy about this, as he was one of my FA fits for this team at ILB (Vincent Rey was the other guy I thought would come cheap and could fill the role).
26CornerBlitz Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 @JoeBuscaglia The #Bills have signed a LB late in free agency & guess what? He may just push to start. Full outlook on Zach Brown: https://t.co/fBOArnV66n
3rdand12 Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 two Brown's in the middle. This could get confusuing very reasonable pick up in my estimation. wonder what differs him from Carter. Pass coverage?
26CornerBlitz Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 @PFWeekly Can new ILB Zach Brown carve out a role in Rex Ryan’s ‘D’? http://shawurl.com/2ib3
snamsnoops Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 R we moving on from "Williams" and building a team of "Browns"! I like this signing
26CornerBlitz Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 @walterfootball NFL Free Agent Inside Linebacker Rankings updated for #Bills signing Zach Brown - http://walterfootball.com/freeagents2016ILB.php Zach Brown, ILB, Titans. Age: 26. Signed with Bills (1 year) Zach Brown has always been expected to take the next step, but has yet to do so. He was just a marginal player for the Titans in 2015. He was fine in coverage, but struggled in run support.
