Al Czervik Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 He plays a role. It's probably like a schtick. It's his role in the paper to say outrageous things and get a rise out of the fans. It worked as he is so hated on TBD. I don't get mad at this guy, just dismiss his opinions when he is saying silly things. I agree with you....I thought it was kind of funny....at least shows he's a good sport about it all
machine gun kelly Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I thought so too. Just to be clear, not a fan, just understand what is his role vs. Vic and Dunner who shoot pretty straight in most articles.
Peter Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Once I read that he referred to his work as "reasoned criticism," I knew it had to be an April Fool's joke.
C.Biscuit97 Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I think Sully is a total joke and never read him but that was about as good of a piece as he is capable of writing. But what an annoying little weasel he is.
transient Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 i like pie I'm not a fan of Sullivan's grumble pie. Too much BS a la mode for my taste.
bbb Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I like Sullivan. I think he is very talented as a sportswriter. Every 'big league' sports town needs someone in his role I think he was talented. Once in awhile, he would write a great piece. Talley plugging in, '99 Sabres playoff run "it's not life and death, but it is life"..............Those articles are long gone.............It's like Rick Reilly - once great. Now mailing it in for years.
