CowgirlsFan Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 ASAP start taking a teaspoon or so of raw local honey every day. It keeps the bad bacteria away.
Just Jack Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Also, my Mother always gave us a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water a few times per day. Not sure why it works, but it seems to do the trick. I am not a doctor, but I did stay at a Comfort Inn last night. http://www.rd.com/health/wellness/apple-cider-vinegar-benefits/
BUFFALOKIE Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Have had it the past 2 days and my wife could have our baby any time now. I want to get rid of this asap because I would hate for her to catch this Any suggestions would help Thanks everyone CBF Flu shot. An ounce of prevention is greater than a pound of cure. Too late, I know, but get your flu shot next year!
Chef Jim Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 I wish Much better than yesterday. Had horrible aches and chills CBF How about now?
BringBackFergy Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Are you sure it's the flu and not hydrophobe? If you have hydrophobe, just remember Old Yeller had to be shot. Stay in your garage for three days and see if you develop foamy saliva at the corners of your mouth.

The Poojer Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 (edited) this is more preventative than a cure, but keep in mind for next time(sorry for the non-pc phrases used, their words, not mine) Edited March 31, 2016 by The Poojer
Chef Jim Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Getting there! CBF Call me crazy but looks like my remedy is the only one that worked.

BuffaloBill Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Beheading A tad bit drastic but would be a cure for sure...
Chef Jim Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 A tad bit drastic but would be a cure for sure... I'm not so sure. It would cure all that ails him....................and us.
Nanker Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 I got some sort of cold or other virus and went to the Dr. He said the flu vaccine from last year was not specific for the strain that actually hit - therefore there was widespread influenza in the population. He said that this year's formula was specific for the strain that hit - so there are fewer cases of flu this year. I'm not buying that. I've been coughing for nearly eight weeks with this crap. The first three weeks were horrible. I've never had a cold like this one. It just lingers on and on.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 Went to the Dr's Friday and glad I did. Turns out in addition to the flu I also have bronchitis. Bad enough that he thought it was pneumonia and had me do an urgent x-ray to rule it out. Got antibiotics and I am starting to feel much better Thanks everyone for their suggestions and input CBF

So frustrating and annoying.
