I would not put Smith in the same class as Bradford.

 

If Smith had been the 2014 Bills qb instead of EJ/Orton, I am certain they would have been a playoff team. For that matter, Tyrod would have put them in the playoffs in 2015 if not for Rex destroying the team.

Eh, Smith is Smith. He barely beat Jeff Tuel in a game where their offense didn't score a td.

 

And as bad as the defense was, people overstate it. The defense was the main reason we won the Titans, Cowbiys, and the Jets games. It would have been the reason we won the second Pats game too. Rex's defense sucked but it had its moments.

Frankly it is not that simple....its a team game and a team loss

 

Other players need to pick up their play to win those games

At the same point, TT was given a lot of credit for the Titans game where he had 100 yards passing.

 

Qbs get the major share of credit for W-Ls, fair or unfair.

C'mon CB! I am stating that Smith is twice as good as Orton and EJ combined. Maybe 10x better. Can you possibly disagree? Well, that team finished 9-7 primarily due to a fantastic defense.

 

Last year the offense got way better and the defense was down more than 60% in sacks. The best lineman quit and the rest were in pass coverage. Do you really want to make a case that Rex didn't destroy this team? Now we even have his horror show brother, as if things weren't bad enough.

 

Brandon and Whaley will have to answer for this mess. If they fail to make the playoffs, all of them should be fired.

 

PS: I have more faith in Tyrod than most posters do, and think that he is really the only one who can possibly save this team from sinking like a rock. What we really need is a good season from him in order to compete.
