Rex Ryan: I won't be shocked if Ed Reed is HC in 5 years

Not hiding, and I'll stand behind my optimistic "takes" -- I really don't think I've ever posted something absolutely ridiculous, I simply look for the positive in something that is supposed to be entertaining and fun. If you and others prefer to ridicule that perspective, so be it.

You are entitled to your opinion as are others. Don't let a condescending response bother you. Sometimes the room gets a little rough and tumble and punches are thrown below the belt. If you are wearing your cup you should be able to absorb the punches. If not, your balls could get bruised and turn blue. The injury in time will heal on its own.

Why Ed Reed is destined to be a head coach - http://walterfootball.com/patyaz

Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan is a frequent user of hyperbole.

He's been known to stretch the truth and make grand statements that never come true. But something Ryan said at last week's NFL owners meeting rang the bell and just might turn out to be an accurate prediction of the future.

Ryan told reporters he wouldn't be surprised if Ed Reed ends up as a head coach in the next five years. That wouldn't surprise me either.

Reed, a five-time All-Pro safety, is brand new to the coaching profession. Ryan hired him as assistant defensive backs coach in January. Ryan is not alone in his prediction. Indianapolis coach Chuck Pagano also told reporters he can see Reed ending up as a head coach.

That's because Reed is a natural. He was one of the smartest players of his generation, a natural leader who worked his tail off.

One of the interesting features is about management, and levels therein.

Reed is going to communicate on a players level very well. He also bridges that gap to the technical and detailed coaching level.

I think it is an excellent hire.

Take away what Rex is saying if you must.

But any employer wants to put a positive spin on his hire to generate some excitement and a sense of confidence. ain't nuthin wrong with that at all!

I am sure i am in the minority, but i think Reed and Rob are going to ADD to the quality of communication, focus and direction with Bills defense

God damn Pagano and his hot air. Why doesn't he just shut up and coach?
