BuffaloBill Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 What's sad is that this is somehow newsworthy. Parents today seem to think that if their kids have to mow lawns and do side jobs that they are suffering a hardship. Corp000085 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 What's sad is that this is somehow newsworthy. Parents today seem to think that if their kids have to mow lawns and do side jobs that they are suffering a hardship. I got a job on my 16th birthday not because I had to, but because I wanted to. My parents instilled many things into me. One was work ethic, the other is integrity. If my son wants to mow lawns for a girl or even for weed, so be it, but it won't be a news story. If my son is mowing lawns for weed and it is publicized as a way to earn money for a girl, he better damn well stand up and tell the truth. I'm thinking the punishment for lying would be FAAAR worse than the punishment for weed.
