If he's as smart as advertised he should excel in RR defense.
Not at the table Karlos Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 DC George Edwards and DB coach Jerry Grey... wasn't jerry the better DC?
It's in My Blood Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 DC George Edwards and DB coach Jerry Grey... wasn't jerry the better DC? Jerry Grey was a hot HC candidate at one time. Edwards was fired for the stache.
Nanker Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 I found the article sorely lacking information on his grade school athletic accomplishments quite a disappointment.
boyst Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 matthews, nc. nice place. good find - article was pretty cool to see all of that.
YoloinOhio Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 It reads like it was written by his agent.. Haha. That said, I've been pretty impressed with Whaley's pro scouts and what they've been able to find "under the radar" as system fits. Could prove to be a valuable signing, and our ST really could use him with hogan gone and Easley likely on PUP to start the season.
Mike in Horseheads Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 I found the article sorely lacking information on his grade school athletic accomplishments quite a disappointment. I think he won kindergartner most likely to succeed.

Buffalo Barbarian Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Jim Leonhard part two? As long as it works. As long as Rex is here we need to find guys that fit. I think he won kindergartner most likely to succeed. participation award
The Jokeman Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 (edited) At the very least it sounds like he could replace Marcus Easley and make us take a WR to develop and at best maybe a guy who can be a spot starter/nickel/dime specialist. I like the pickup but wonder if we'll try and bring Rambo back on the cheap too? Edited March 27, 2016 by The Jokeman

The Jokeman Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Easley? This guy might well start as DB ! Again, I said at worst. I expect him to do more yet only see him starting if Aaron Williams or Corey Graham are hurt.
3rdand12 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Again, I said at worst. I expect him to do more yet only see him starting if Aaron Williams or Corey Graham are hurt. The Aaron Williams thing is a big concern for me. Seems like Blanton can play every DB position and ST. So i agree with. I just this guy is going to come in and make an impact !
Saxum Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Aaron Williams worries me as well; I think the first time his bell is run he will be out for a long time with reluctance to play again as long as possible. Aaron Williams's contract money might be better spent elsewhere.

I do not know his contract ( A W ) but if he can return AND step up his game while calming down a bit Bills have a sweet rotation of DBs. some smart men back there

3rdand12 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Calming down? Aaron Williams was the one who was out of control before his injury! ? My punctuation is horrendous at best. Aaron Williams , last year. Trying to become a vocal leader was playing abit out of control , in my opinion. Youth i suppose trying to lead i guess. If he could show some more patience, reign in his emotion and reduce his mistakes, he can be a hell of a safety was my meaning. I think he can understand Rexes defense.
