I love my state.

And I would have so picked on kids going to the women's bathrooms if they're dudes.

You would be the kid getting picked on for identifying as a plain, boring "boy".

If you want to fit into the snowflake society, you have to be some unique gender ambiguous hybrid.

once I got to high school when all of this happens I wasn't getting picked on.

I was unique. I was the dorky jock who didn't party or act like a teenager.

"(1/2) The constitution needs some reevaluating, a lot of it was written in the interests of rich white dudes, not letting trans people use the restroom that (2/2) represents their mental identity is douchy"

Hot 20 yr old I am enjoying

"(1/2) George Washington was the only founding father I can get behind, and he still could have been a douche, slavery was not right, so don't say they were (2/2) right, the laws need to evolve as we do"

Went to the Dixie chicks concert. They gave out free hats. Free hat! Free hat!

It said "no hate in our state" with a gender pic of male female trans. I laughed. They passed one ti me entering and I said i support the law. Boy I got some looks. Walk in and they're on our seats. During the sing Earl had to die they show video of men in mugshots, oj, and others who treated women badly. They throw in trump with devil horns. Though, later they mocked all candidates.

Toward the end they on it more. Encore began with no ready to make nice and Natalie made some statements about trans law and asked how e liked our free hat. It wasmade in China, fyi. I said to my friend beside me this is bull ****. Let's leave. I said it loud enough evidently others heard me and shot me glares. They had children on the stage. They had trans kids and men and women. And it was... Over the top. Worse than Durham lefties.

Obama to issue transgender bathroom mandate for federal facilities

Some things never change, and if I must give credit to the Obama administration on one count, it’s that they are at least consistent. When there’s a controversial issue in play between the states and the federal government, rather than letting the Judicial branch sort it out, the President jumps in with an Executive Order and simply demands that things be done his way.

That pattern of behavior is now rearing its head in the matter of privacy and bathroom access as it relates to transgender persons. (Washington Times)

The Obama administration will announce this week a new directive granting access to intimate federal facilities on the basis of gender identity.

BuzzFeed News reported Monday (
) that the regulation will be posted in the Federal Register at some point this week, opening up thousands of federally operated restrooms to transgender people who wish to use the facilities corresponding with their gender identity rather than biological sex.

The rule will apply to roughly 9,200 properties operated by the General Services Administration and will not be limited to employees.

GSA spokesperson Ashley Nash-Hahn said anyone visiting a federally operated property, including courthouses and various agencies, will be allowed to use the restroom consistent with their gender identity.

The Social Justice Warriors are all aflutter over this decision and it hasn’t even been published yet. The Human Rights Campaign went so far as to describe it as “Vital protections for transgender people in federal facilities.” Susan Page and FernandoCrescente at USA Today declared it the consensus of the millennial generation. Ah… it’s a great day to be an American, isn’t it?

The problem is that there clearly isn’t a consensus on the subject around the nation. In fact, there are currently multiple lawsuits making their way through the courts regarding state level decrees and previous federal decisions involving schools. (All of which we’ve covered here extensively.) The situation is slowly but surely making its way to the Supreme Court for a final showdown. That’s how the process is supposed to work in our nation and we’ve managed to stumble along with this method of resolving differences for hundreds of years.

But for Barack Obama, no dissent to his own dictates can be slowed down by a pesky little thing like the constitutional process. An Executive Order is clearly needed so that everyone toes the line according to his whims before he grows impatient. And this time it’s not just affecting federal employees. Anyone who has business with the government and needs to visit a federal facility will fall under the same mandate whether they like it or not.

It’s Obama’s America, people. You’re just living in it.

Pretty sure this actually is within the scope of executive authority for once, though.

Democrat Lawmakers in North Carolina Block Compromise on Bathroom Bill, in Order to Make Economic Damage an Issue in November

by Susan Wright

It’s important that we understand that when liberals scream about equality, what they really mean is that the rest of us acquiesce to their worldview. Compromise is absolutely off the table.

Armed with that knowledge, conservative politicians need to adjust their tactics accordingly.

There was never a more glaring example of how right this analogy is than what is going on in my home state of North Carolina, right now, as it pertains to House Bill 2, or the “bathroom law.”

Amidst boycotts, demonstrations, and immense pressure from outside sources, Governor Pat McCrory and the North Carolina General Assembly offered a compromise.

Basically, they offered to hit reset, and put everything back, exactly the way it was before this all began.

The compromise consisted of the Charlotte City Council repealing their awful, broadly worded ordinance, which would have allowed for random men to walk into the ladies room in schools, restaurants, or rest stops in the city, simply by claiming some ambivalent “transgender” status. In return, Governor McCrory would call a special session of the North Carolina General Assembly to repeal HB2.

No harm, no foul, right? We’re back in business.

Yeah. Not so fast. Remember what I said about compromise?

Because this is an election year. Democrats had control of North Carolina for 20 years before McCrory took office in January 2013. The state was desperately in debt, jobs were gone, and we were a failed state, in every conceivable way.

They want us back that way, because if they undo all the good McCrory has done for the state, economically, they can point and say, “See? He ruined North Carolina! You need Democrats with their big government-tax-and-spend policies to pull us back up! And your little girls need to see penises. That will fix North Carolina!”

{snip}

While a recent economist’s report revealed that HB2 had only a minor effect on the economy of North Carolina, in comparison to the strong, positive upswing brought by conservative policies, Democrats are willing to ride this issue straight to perdition, all to regain political power.

I won’t pretend that both sides don’t do it. Republicans play their games for power, as well.

In the case of Governor McCrory, he’s done that by slashing taxes, cancelling a debt to the federal government of $2.6 billion, amassing a half billion surplus, raising teachers’ pay to the highest in history, bringing 300,000 new jobs to the area, and by speaking up for the privacy and comfort of the state’s women and children.

He has the endorsement of every law enforcement organization in the state, as well as small business groups.

There’s a reason for that.

The people of North Carolina need to know that a compromise was on the table to settle the controversy over the bathroom laws, but it was Democrats who refused, and who are celebrating any economic damage done to the state, in the meantime.

They should not be rewarded with a chance to install themselves back into the majority in Raleigh, again.
