IDBillzFan
can you explain it ever since? He can't explain anything because he only believes what he wants to believe, and he's sure of this because he paid people money to tell him that he is, against all evidence, an intellectual. But you disagree with him, so that makes you an anti-intellectual. What you need to do is explain to him that while you disagree with him, you identify as an intellectual. Then ask him if you can use the intellectuals' bathroom and watch the irony rain down on his little intellectual party.

boyst
why don't you explain it. i know that local dems in rural va are still very different from national dems. there aren't too many that support gun control, abortion rights or union empowerment, for example. you won't find any that support regulating tobacco as a drug. perhaps that's what you mean if not, enlighten me on nc political science. OK so you can't explain it. So why the hell are you talking about it? NC government goes back to the civil war with western NC sympathetic to the north and central to western more indifferent as their lives had little to do with what was fought for - so much as individual rights, and slave labor. They were much more like the north in that they had hope for further development which would offer jobs etc. Eastern was full of mills and slave labor as well as the coast and taxes and tarrifs that the ports did not want to pay as they saw no federal assistance. Start with that. And work out the rest on your own. He can't explain anything because he only believes what he wants to believe, and he's sure of this because he paid people money to tell him that he is, against all evidence, an intellectual. B-Man
Student solves “transgender bathroom” problem in one step, not that anyone will listen FTA: The author is Elishe Wittes, a “young trans man” attending a school wrestling with this issue. Much of the filler in the essay might be easily dismissed because it plays into SJW assumptions about trans advocates being right, conservatives being wrong, and chromosomes having nothing to do with your gender. But once you scrape all of that detritus off the package, she arrives at a solution I suggested last year. (Please do read this short excerpt carefully.) I have a solution to this problem: gender-neutral, single-user bathrooms… Fortunately, there’s a solution to the bathroom problem that addresses both anti-trans anxieties and trans fears. Imagine a room with a toilet, a sink and a door with a lock. Suddenly everyone’s problems go away. Are you a trans person who’s afraid to use the ordinary gendered bathrooms? Use the single-user bathroom instead. Are you afraid of encountering trans women in the women’s bathroom while you’re putting on your makeup? Use the single-user bathroom. And this bathroom panacea has other applications, too. Parent with young children who need help? Single-user bathroom. Person with a disability who has trouble in a stall? Single-user bathroom. Someone who just needs a bit of space to calm down? Single-user bathroom. In fact, there are only two shortcomings to it which may or may not be overcome with a bit of work. The first is the question of cost. New facilities currently under design or construction should be able to either add on some single user, non-gender specific bathrooms and possibly even lockers and shower stalls without too much trouble. (It won’t be free of additional costs, but there was always going to be cash required to deal with this.) Unfortunately, existing schools – and to be honest, all other public facilities of every sort – may not be able to manage it. You need to have the space available near the water and sewer lines to start adding on bathrooms and showers. Then you have to deconstruct a portion of your facility to shoehorn them in. But even so, it could be done if the will and the funding existed. Unfortunately that might not matter because of the second problem. Let’s say you have both traditional male and female facilities and you add on some single use facilities which anyone can use. That should alleviate every problem which Wittes outlines in her article. But for the majority of the SJW activists we hear speaking up on the issue, that won’t be good enough. It’s not a question of privacy, safety, or being forced into a place you don’t want to be. (In this case using the rest room corresponding to your actual gender.) This is all about forcing it on everyone else because You Will Be Made To Care. If the “transgender student” isn’t allowed to invade the bathroom, locker room or shower of those engaged in accepted private activity it will still be described as discrimination. http://hotair.com/archives/2016/05/14/student-solves-transgender-bathroom-problem-in-one-step-not-that-anyone-will-listen/

B-Man
FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORMED Security Guard Arrested For Removing Man From Women’s Bathroom A female security guard working at a Washington, D.C. grocery store was arrested Monday afternoon for physically escorting a man out of the women’s restroom after he refused to leave because he identifies as a woman. The shopper — a young, African-American male who identified himself as Ebony Belcher to local news outlets — reportedly passed the security guard on his way into the women’s restroom at a Giant grocery store in Northeast D.C. After seeing Belcher walk into the women’s restroom, the security guard followed him in and ordered the man to leave. When he refused, the security guard had to physically escort him out of the women’s restroom. Upon leaving the store, Belcher called police to have the security guard arrested. D.C. police confirmed to NBC4 Washington that the woman was arrested and charged with simple assault. Belcher told NBC4 that the security guard told him: “You guys cannot keep coming in here and using our women’s restroom. They did not pass the law yet.” He told WJLA that he believed “the woman had no reason to put her hands on me,” adding that he was emotionally traumatized by the incident. “I’m hurt by this. It’s terrible… I’m distraught,” he said. “People should not be discriminated based on their gender identity.” At least one woman was grateful for the security guard’s actions. Shopper Deana Chisholm told WJLA: “If you was born a man go to the men’s bathroom. You got a penis go to the men’s bathroom. If you are born a woman go to the woman’s bathroom.
