Being from Raleigh, I am a huge Phillip Rivers booster, but the more I see of JP--the more impressed I am with him. You can tell he actually prepared for those remarks--a lot of rookies would roll their eyes and try to wing it or ask for a script from the PR folks. I was impressed by the genuiness.... He still seems to mee like a pretty genuine guy, and while he's clearly confident, I don't see any of the cockiness/arrogance that he was reputed to have coming out of Tulane.
