Chef Jim Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 .......if musicians wear ear monitors when they play live why do they still have old fashioned monitors on stage too?
Marv's Neighbor Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Sometimes you can't see the on stage monitors through all the "smoke."
/dev/null Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 why do they call it taking a dump? you're not taking anything, you're leaving it
BuffaloBill Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 How is Ozzy Osbourne still upright! The same could be said for many others. How is Ozzy Osbourne still upright! The same could be said for many others.
4merper4mer Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 I think the other monitors are there to prevent people from rushing the stage. Someone might steal Jethro's flute and sell it on E-Bay if the monitors weren't there to tackle him before he stole it.
BuffaloBill Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Why do we have to, too and two in the English language?
4merper4mer Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Why do we have to, too and two in the English language? Wasn't Tootwo the douche that ran Ryan Miller?
CountryCletus Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 When I was on tour, we used the old monitors as a fall back option.... Sometimes we couldn't hear, and sometimes we couldn't see the monitors... The worst was when both happened at the same time...
DC Tom Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Why do buildings burn up when they burn down? "Burn up" refers to the consumption of fuel. "Burn down" refers to the destruction of the structure. Why do we have to, too and two in the English language? "To" and "two" have different roots (proto-Germanic "tiz" and "twa"). They're different words that happened to evolve to sound the same in modern English. "Too" is a relatively modern branching off "to," which were the same word in Old English. (So when you type "Me to" on the board here, you're technically not wrong. If you're Chaucer. You're not Chaucer, so don't !@#$ing do it.)

So among the people around here impressed with your noodle is, me to or maybe me too.

So among the people around here impressed with your noodle is, me to or maybe me too. I knew the root of "two," and that "too" and "to" are more recently related. The root of "to," I used my Google-fu. My point, though, was that unlike you peasants, I never "wonder why." I just know.

DC Tom Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Thank you sir.... May I have another... No you may not, peasant. Go back to the end of the line; other people need abuse before you.

DC Tom Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Which Wiggle were you? I believe he was the fifth Wiggle, until he was replaced by Pete Best.
