Blokestradamus Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Boaty McBoatface for Prime Minister. The best bit? The guy that suggested it apologised for all the commotion. How English of him.

DC Tom Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I doubt she would. She's a monarch, and has some authority, enough to say "No !@#$ing way, you bloody pillocks!" Now, if Prince Harry were in charge...
boyst Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 i love when they do open public polling. it's a wonder that more americans dont' write in presidential elections for homer simpson, hitler or other such nonsense. i remember voting in in the hitler did nothing wrong flavor. that was good times.

boyst Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 How so? You feel like you accomplished what? accomplished humor and proof that corporate america is so unplugged from reality that they do not realize what a !@#$ed up, crazy and beautiful world we live in that such horrible things can happen.

So no country or organization should put something like this to a vote because there are more idiots than rational people willing to click. How very jaded...

Oh and for those of you not in the know. http://archives.floridasportsman.com/index.php?topic=510534.0 Edited April 18, 2016 by Chef Jim
Pete Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Just as we are finding out with the primary's, Boaty McBoatface demonstrates there is no such thing as democracy
stevewin Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 It's now official. Democracy is dead and life does not play by the rules http://www.nbcnews.com/science/science-news/boaty-mcboatface-rejected-name-new-polar-research-ship-n569171

I think they do, we just don't hear about them. In our high school mock election in 1984 I'm pretty sure Bill the Cat finished fourth.
Just Jack Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 I think they do, we just don't hear about them. In our high school mock election in 1984 I'm pretty sure Bill the Cat finished fourth. 1984 my high school did the same thing, I remember Reagan easily won, but the surprise showing was Gus Hall, the Communist Party candidate.
