“‘Instead of standing there and teaching a cop when there’s an unarmed person coming at ‘em with a knife or something, shoot ‘em in the leg instead of in the heart,’ Biden said in an address to black community leaders in Wilmington, Del.”

People are actually gonna vote for this imbecile? This is one of the most ignorant, moronic statements I’ve heard. And, it’s from a “presidential candidate”.

My research is fine.  Your reading comprehension could improve.

So impermissible in warfare but appropriate for our citizens???  Nothing to see here.  Law enforcement is once again above any reproach.

The TBD Sandbox is lit this morning. Wanting antifa led rioting to stop is now considered racist. Despite the fact that antifa is terrorist organization mainly comprised of overeducated white socialists who can't get jobs with their worthless degrees so they cosplay as righteous vigilantes. Better to name everyone they disagree with fascists than to own their uselessness and silly white guilt.

Also, OrangeManBad is officially, definitely Hitler. ?

I'm just as focused on McAtee, the civilians who were run over in NYC, the multiple protesters who were gang beat in the streets, pepper sprayed with minimal provocation.

As a functional adult, I am capable of understanding that violence against the police is wrong while also understanding that looting is wrong and yet still having an issue with the number of instances of police brutality I am witnessing during protests about police brutality.

There is no equivalency between the two.  These protesters resisted.  They were warned three times to move back peacefully, and they declined.  So no, I don't share your view on this, at all.  And when you say "understanding that violence against the police is wrong", the mere fact that you are more outraged against people who resisted the police and got tear gassed (Gasp) over the true brutality against communities and law enforcement from these protesters, I think perfectly encapsulates the Orwellian society that we are living in today.

No outrage for law abiding citizens who have their small businesses, property and dreams torched, but outraged for police officers attempting to restore order.

It's disgusting.

I'm guessing Jauronimo has never been exposed to CS gas.

If he had been, he'd know it's not some crime against humanity to use it.

What a moronic statement. The sad thing is that there are a large number of people that think this is a good idea....

Warfare?  Did you just say warfare?

Ok, that's all I need to know with what sort of argument that I'm up against.

No it doesn't. However, I find it interesting, but not surprising, that with all of the violent criminal behavior taking place, your indignation is over the police moving a peaceful crowd to a new location.

There isn't anyone here saying that LE Officers are above reproach. But hey, since you seem to have such a problem with them, why don't you step up to the front of the next riot and show Officers how it should be done....

Since when does condemning police brutality mean I support ANTIFA, looting, and violent acts against the police?  This is such a juvenile argument.  Whataboutism rather than respond to any substance of my point.

https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2020-05-30/dont-understand-the-protests-what-youre-seeing-is-people-pushed-to-the-edge

What was your first reaction when you saw the video of the white cop kneeling on George Floyd’s neck while Floyd croaked, “I can’t breathe”?

If you’re white, you probably muttered a horrified, “Oh, my God” while shaking your head at the cruel injustice. If you’re black, you probably leapt to your feet, cursed, maybe threw something (certainly wanted to throw something), while shouting, “Not @#$%! again!” Then you remember the two white vigilantes accused of murdering Ahmaud Arbery as he jogged through their neighborhood in February, and how if it wasn’t for that video emerging a few weeks ago, they would have gotten away with it. And how those Minneapolis cops claimed Floyd was resisting arrest but a store’s video showed he wasn’t. And how the cop on Floyd’s neck wasn’t an enraged redneck stereotype, but a sworn officer who looked calm and entitled and devoid of pity: the banality of evil incarnate.

...

What do you see when you see angry black protesters amassing outside police stations with raised fists? If you’re white, you may be thinking, “They certainly aren’t social distancing.” Then you notice the black faces looting Target and you think, “Well, that just hurts their cause.” Then you see the police station on fire and you wag a finger saying, “That’s putting the cause backward.”

You’re not wrong — but you’re not right, either. The black community is used to the institutional racism inherent in education, the justice system and jobs. And even though we do all the conventional things to raise public and political awareness — write articulate and insightful pieces in the Atlantic, explain the continued devastation on CNN, support candidates who promise change — the needle hardly budges.

...

But African Americans have been living in a burning building for many years, choking on the smoke as the flames burn closer and closer. Racism in America is like dust in the air. It seems invisible — even if you’re choking on it — until you let the sun in. Then you see it’s everywhere. As long as we keep shining that light, we have a chance of cleaning it wherever it lands. But we have to stay vigilant, because it’s always still in the air.

...

So what you see when you see black protesters depends on whether you’re living in that burning building or watching it on TV with a bowl of corn chips in your lap waiting for “NCIS” to start [or posting about it on a Bills message board].

What I want to see is not a rush to judgment, but a rush to justice.

Yes, read the post I quoted.  CS gas is impermissible in warfare.  FACT.  CS gas is A-OK for use against civilians. FACT.

What is your issue?

If you are more focused on tear gas being applied on the protesters more so than the 4 police officers who were shot in St Louis, Police officer shot in the head and died in Las Vegas, the police officer who was ambushed and shot in Iowa, the national guard members who were ran over in Buffalo NY, the police officer who was ran over in NYC, the multiple NY officers who were gang beat up by rioters and the countless stores that were destroyed, then I don't know what to tell you, other than your priorities are all out of wack.

Those people that did those crimes will be arrested, charged, and convicted when caught. The problem is law enforcement is likely to get away with killing someone in their custody. We have a President that encourages law enforcement to rough up those already in handcuff, no longer a threat. No one wanted to listen to those crying out for help, those losing loved ones at the hands of law enforcement.

If you can't understand that then your priorities are out of wack.

I hadn't seen this. Do you have a link where he states to rough them up while handcuffed?

Your argument is built on which outrages me more and you think it proves your point?  Tell me, Magox, which part of the past week's events outrage me most?

Let me play this game too.  The mere fact that you're more outraged about protesters and the ensuing chaos than the police murdering citizens tells me everything I need to know about this authoritarian society we are living in today.

Be better.

You apparently put as little thought into reading the posts you are responding to as you do the substance of your posts. I never said you "support ANTIFA, looting, and violent acts against the police."

I said your focus has been on the actions of the police and not the rioters. That is a factual statement.

Seriously, if your comprehension skills are no better than this, you should say less...

Ever notice how the white people who insist whites should shut up and listen on racial issues because we can't possibly understand the black experience are constantly lecturing us on what the black experience is like.

Why? No need to. Demographics are changing in Democrats favor very quickly. When Texas goes solidly Democratic you guys are going to have to change the GOP A LOT to win the presidency again.

Why? Because it's what commies do.

And if the GOP becomes any more un-moored from the Constitution and the Bill of Rights it's pretty much over anyway. If the radical left gains power I won't have to worry about it because I'm out of here. Friends in New Zealand that's far enough away from all the a$$holes. This place will be a shite show hell on earth.

Notice you don't see a single leftist here calling out those actions. The only thing they can yell is "tear gas and rubber bullets!"

That's because they love to see fallen cops. And businesses destroyed. And business owners beaten to a bloody pulp. It excites their base, which is why their leaders are all quiet. They NEED this to get the vote out in November.

But hey...rubber bullets, man. That's some really bad schitt right there. They bounce and everything!
