Buffalo_Gal Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 This guy writes for Mother Jones. He biked around DC last night, and has a thread about what it looked like. I don't think it was just the curfew that helped DC.

Just because the name is the same? How can anyone make such an argument? Would Nathan Bedford Forest of been an Obama supporter? The original post dealt with an allegation from 1927. Back then, Joe Biden and his wife were just a couple crazy kids hanging out at a local speakeasy sipping rye and talking about the jimmy jack future they would have together.

On a per capita basis more blacks are killed and it's not close. Would you like to have a discussion on how this statistic is falsely being used? Or do you just not care? 3

They have to figure out their own mess, and they appear to be incapable of solving anything. The only consistent solution adopted in the urban jungles is taxes and welfare. That formula has failed. Why? This solution has failed all over the country in all types of communities. Over the past 40 years, the gap between the rich and poor has grown exponentially and people of all colours have been left behind to live in poverty while the rich get richer. Decade after decade, tax breaks have been given to the people who need them the least, and trickle down economics has proven to be a colossal sham. I agree that most cities have major problems. But so do rural communities all over the South and Mid West. Suggesting this is just an urban problem isn't reality. 2

Buffalo_Gal Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 The comments on this twitter thread. Oy. People truly think they can block roads, loot buildings, start fires, heck, protest without permits, and there should be no repercussions for them. 1 2

It's a canyon that bisects the city. Those people are idiots for protesting THERE. There's literally no escape. Edited June 2, 2020 by Joe in Winslow

Well, you never mention all the jobs that were sent overseas to some of our most trusted friends like China. Were you a supporter of cheaper goods at Walmart while local business suffered and industrial jobs left town? Hey, maybe you are part of the problem. Put your life and money where your mouth is and present a viable solution. You behave like this forum is an extension of protesting in the streets. Try solving a problem first and get back to me. 3

Rural hospitals and social services could be much better. Who got hurt when red states wouldn’t expand Obamacare? Poor whites.

We’ve already overspent the ‘rich’ people’s taxes by $20 TRILLION DOLLARS!!!! Let me know when you think we’ve gotten to the right number. The goal should be a society where EVERYONE pays a proportionate share. We’ve proven beyond any doubt that redistribution simply doesn’t work. In fact, it makes things way, way worse!
